The most interesting hypothetical for me right now is if Green, Suggs, and Mobley are all available at 4, who do you take?
If one of the teams above us goes off script and takes a Kuminga or Barnes, we'd have 2 of those players to choose from, and that situation puts a lot more pressure on Masai and Bobby to pick the right guy.
For me right now I take Suggs, I think he's going to be a franchise caliber PG and have a very long and successful career. He doesn't have any glaring weaknesses and he's elite at what you want a PG to be elite at.
Definitely would be happy with any of those 3 but Suggs is my favorite right now.

Assuming one of the teams above us goes off the board it would likely mean that Suggs and Mobley are the ones available. I isn't likely to be Green. I am ok with that because Green has a unique skill set but I think it is findable at a high enough level in multiple places in the NBA. Again Beal, and Lavine are perfect examples. Those two are gettable. Especially if our finances and a lot of other things are in order they are DEFINITELY gettable.
Depends on your team-building philosophy. I think if one of the teams above us goes off the board, I would want Mobley. I think Suggs can become a number one POSSIBLY but I think he is more of a distributor. I think big man skills in the right way that we want is VERY rare. For that reason I would still put mobley over suggs. Suggs continues to grow on me the more I watch.

Yeah I take Suggs.. But I think Masai and co would take Mobley.
If Mobley, Suggs and Green are all in the same tier. Then fit wise, Mobley works the best. Even if Lowry is gone. Our only big man that has a contract right now is Boucher and he's a PF.
Actually wouldn't be too surprised if they traded up to #2 to get Mobley. The trade up to #2 might be cheaper for them then finding a more permanent long term center.

Rockets are interested in Green at 2. Our choice falls to Suggs or Mobley depending on what the Cavs do. If they do trade Sexton, I wonder if they will choose Suggs, and Mobley falls to us. Cavs also could believe they may not re-sign Allen or choose not to and draft Mobley.
Interestingly enough, I'm more curious what the Rockets and Cavs do than the Raptors, I'm happy with any one of Suggs, Green or Mobley.
The Houston Rockets are evaluating options with the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NBA draft and reportedly have their eyes on Jalen Green.
Per ESPN's Jonathan Givony, opposing teams think the Rockets will prioritize Green's "shot creation and playmaking ability" over the size and skill of Evan Mobley.

I would not be sad if they did the move up to 2. Cleveland taking Mobley doesn't make sense. Mobley isn't a 4 in my honest opinion. That isn't his best skillset or use. I think Jarrett clogs the lane with them too much. I think Mobley will honestly be my favorite. I honestly think we can win without having a 1A guy IF we have enough two way players. I think Mobley gives us that. I think suggs also gives us that.
Ultimately, you need two things on this team. A better facilitator on the wing not named Siakam. Siakam is fine but you need someone else as well and Fred isn't QUITE there yet. Might get there but isn't there YET.
You need a defensive anchor in a center who can positionally defend well but also point out things to guys. I think Mobley does that and he seems to be prioritizing that when he gave a short interview on ESPN. I think his ability to play make will make him such a unique player. To me he ends up being MUCH better. From there it is easier to find a guy to be the scorer. I really think that if we get mobley, GTJ and FVV could be used to get either the next scorer guy who is wanting out or GTJ becomes GOOD ENOUGH to be a stop gap. Jalen Harris of the bench if the 5 game thing was real could really mean something.
Solving our center rotation would be VERY nice. Especially if you have a guy who can develop into something amazing. You draft a guy who you think will likely be with the team for 10 years.Last edited by TrueTorontoFan; Tue Jun 29, 2021, 07:39 PM.

I think I would take Mobley of the three, but Suggs is a close second. But honestly I have little energy for this hypothetical, because all three are amazing prospects to add to this team so I'd be delighted with any of them. I'm just happy we aren't sitting at 5 (or lower) and being sad we miss out on the cream of this crop.
