There are intangibles to consider, like "does your front office respect players' wishes." It's not for nothing that the Kyle trade process is basically Kyle deciding, right now, where he wants to finish his career - here, Philly or Miami - and that Masai and Bobby are letting him decide that for himself and then executing the trade if necessary. .

This keeps popping up but there's no evidence of this at all.
It as a tweet from someone saying they thought the front office would or should give Kyle some say.

If they're looking to trade him, I'm sure they'll do right by Kyle if a good landing spot is the best or comparable return.
But if they're looking to trade him and it's best for the team, I'm sure and hope they'll make the best basketball return for him regardless.

This "players are watching how we treat Kyle is bogus. He's ready to leave as a FA himself and no one will say one word about his "lack of loyalty". He got us a chip, he owes us nothing. We got him a chip, we owe him nothing but thanks for the memories....and an eventual number retirement.

Lots of overreactions but my opinion has not changed. This is 100% a playoff team folks. Yes they are AWFUL but all they really need is to finish in the top 10. Do you really trust the Bulls and the Hornets and the Pacers and even the Hawks to stay where they are in the standings? one of or two of them are gonna fall.

I want them to tank, I want Jalen Green on the team or Keon Johnson(if they're in the 6-8 range) but i'm just being realistic. This is a playoff team.

Unfortunately there are no generational type talents in the draft. Likely a bunch of Bargniannis.

Perhaps no generational talent but still future superstars.

Green can easily be a Beal type player.
Cade is a Grant Hill lite.
Suggs is a Dame type too.

Maybe the universe also moves us up the draft to compensate for us being the only team that had to setup shop somewhere else.

A top 5 pick in this draft could be a game changer.

Hopefully if we move some players at the deadline, we can stockpile a pick or two more in this years draft. Potentially package them together and move up to grab the player we want.

I've been watching a lot of college ball lately(there's not much to do really) and the more I watch Cade Cunningham play the more i'm convinced Jalen Green is the better prospect.

Cunningham's issue is that while he's been a dominant scorer in college, I genuinely don't know if it'll translate to the NBA simply because he's not particularly athletic. You don't need to be a freak athlete in order to be a superstar (consider Luka, for example), but Cade hasn't been dominant the way Luka was outside of the NBA. I don't think he'll end up a bust, because he's a really good defender and those never totally bust, but I could see him ending up a rock-solid 3-and-D guy, and you want a #1 pick to be more than that.

Cunningham doesn't look like he'll be that go-to 25+ PPG scorer, but more of an all around guard. Guys like Jalen Green look like they'll be great scorers and thats someone the Raptors need.

After Green’s performance in the G-league vs grown men, he sure looks like a safe bet - high floor, for sure. He has that mamba mentality type of game and that’s exactly what we need around here. Only issue is his slight frame and how that will stand up to the physicality of the league.

I haven't watched enough but I heard Bill Simmons and Ryan Russelilo talking about him on their pod yesterday. They were saying that Cade is the type of guy that yes he floats and defers. That said his ability to read the game and understand spacing and angles is BETTER. So from that stand point his basketball IQ is unmatched. He also seems to play at his pace but gets to his spots. Lastly, his playmaking and passing is pretty unreal.

Realistically Suggs could go above him from everything I am hearing. I think depending on trades that are coming up if we draft high enough... we should draft cade or even.

Green is a safe bet but yeah..

From what I've seen Cunningham's offensive game is really refined. He's pretty strong in the post for a guard and his shot is mechanically sound. I like his playmaking. If he's a defender (hard to see in highlights and I haven't watched his games) than he's the guy I want.

I'm sort of doubting Raps end up with a top 5 pick...just too much basketball left to play. Still a lot of talent in that 5-10 range though and you know if Kuminga is there the Raps are gonna think hard on nabbing him.

I can see this happening and I also don't have an issue with this too
