They're going to draft a guard. It really makes no sense for them to draft Mobley because they already have Allen.

yeah it makes no sense... a guard they can at least have them play small at worst case.. also they invested assets to get Allen. And I dont think they can get as much from allen given that he wants 20+ per year. I also don't see the raptors playing ball with them trading allen.. it would be like... uhh no no thanks. They also will stunt mobley's growth playing him out of position.

I watched a ton of Moses Moody when I thought we would be drafting 7th. I liked him quite a bit, he was my second choice behind Keon Johnson. He has a sweet shot, good rebounding, he just doesn't seem to have the killer mentality. Or maybe it was the system, and he was just playing within it.

I think its a bit of both but to me he doesn't crack top 4. Not even close. I also think that Kuminga has way more potential as a prospect so if we want to reach Kuminga and Barnes are literally right there but I wouldn't reach.

By that benchmark, it doesn't make sense for them to draft Green either because they have Sexton already and he's already a 20ppg scorer. I mean, Mobley is at least likely an upgrade at the 5 over Allen, who's a good center but nothing transcendent. Green basically has to Kobe out in order to be significantly better than Sexton is.

Mobley could be played along side Allen at the 4. He has the frame and skill set for it. He'd get bullied at his current frame by Centers.

to my knowledge, no one has ever done that as a freshman aside from kareem abdul-jabbar and bill walton.

(he still ended up having a pretty good game while being primarily guarded by a guy nicknamed 'off-night', and was the only player on the team to show up).

if you wanna buy into that logic then neither cade cunningham nor evan mobley should be lottery picks, let alone in the top five.

cade was astonishingly bad in the tournament against two massive dogs in liberty and oregon st... complete bed shitting.

i thought mobley fared better but was kinda disappointed that most times mobley did something impressive it ended up being his brother, who outplayed him in every game i watched. the brother named evan was definitely less visible.

I am going to admit. I am down on Suggs because of the ceiling. I think he will be as good as Brogdon. Brogdon isn't bad but he doesn't have that star potential. He doesn't have the potential to be the #1 guy or the most important guy. He has the potential to be a solid guy though.
