If Houston does anything, it's trading up to secure Cade because they can get literally anybody else they want, and they're not trading the pick for a star player at this point because their team is still pretty bad; the best way to sell tickets while being bad is to have an exciting young star. Cleveland might Cleveland it up and draft someone outside of the top four like Kuminga or Barnes, in which case we'd have a choice of two of the top four remaining prospects, or they might trade the pick to another team who wants one of the top four.

I don't see us trading up unless Masai has fallen completely for one of Mobley or Suggs (I don't think Green is the sort of player he falls in love with, although I think if he's left at 4 Masai drafts him anyway). Trading down (or out for a star) is a possibility.

If you are Cleveland, you needed a wing but there's no one out there in the top 4, if you ended up drafting Mobley (best available), you essentially duplicate the same headache you had with Garland and Sexton as to Allen and Mobley, in few years you are in the same shoes try to trade away one of the two bigs for better value. I think if Cleveland trading away Sexton that leaves a backcourt spot for them to draft Suggs, OR they MIGHT do TWO deals one with Sexton and one possibly trade for Simmons, if they give away their #3 pick to the Sixers then I see WHOLE a lot of SENSE for the Sixers to draft Suggs at #3.

The ONLY chance is Magic trade up using their #5 and #8, but who will Magic pick at #3? Magic likely needed Kuminga more than Suggs + Mobley, plus they can get another same calibre impact player at #8, they won't make the trade........Unless it's.....for Cade

And no we should not think about trading down to 15. This is our one shot to bring in a player with potential to eventually be a top 10 type of talent, so I hope they just draft who they feel has that type of potential.

(another piece of the Mobley puzzle is the Cavs are pretty committed to Allen having walked away from Drummond, nothing guaranteed of course)

To me they are happy with Allen.

Garland is a pure PG. Suggs is a combo guard like Brandon Roy.

Exactly, to me Cleveland is stuck in the middle, they don't really need a Big nor a PG but they have to choose between Mobley and Suggs, where they really needed a Wing, this is why I believe it's more than likely they trade away their pick for help with their wing position is more likely than picking one of the two at #3

I genuinely think developmentally taking Suggs or trading back with orlando makes so much sense to them. It is very obvious with all of the sexton rumours that they want to get rid of sexton and draft either green or suggs over mobley. They gave up assets. Maybe not a ton but still gave up assets and only to lose him in free agency is silly. My guess is they put the Allen rumour out to see if Toronto would play ball so they can have their cake and eat it too but don't really want to play Mobley out of position and don't want to wait to have a team that works around him ... because with allen their team doesn't work with mobley. Spacing would be too cramped because him and Allen would operate in similar spaces and Mobley will take at least 2 years to develop an offensive game that is consistently able to contribute outside is my guess.


Suggs works for them. They need a WINNER. They need a leader. They need a culture change. This is why Suggs should go above. I do not think Suggs is better than the others I think that he fits what they need more than evan and they won't have the balls to trade down. Suggs on the magic would be AMAZING though. But Magic likely aren't going to move up to 3rd. If they do its because Green is available and if Green is available its because Mobley or Suggs went first. and I would say it would be more likely that Green goes before Suggs goes in the top 2.





We don't really even have a good player to trade Cleveland either because they need a 3 and we are not giving them OG. One option I can see is us trading boucher, the 4th and Baynes, and Hood for the 3rd and Love.


It effectively ends our free agency but we can work around that easily. If you get mobley out of that trade and you sign and trade lowry to philly you don't need free agency anyways. You should still have the mid level too.
