Guys forget about Wiggins draft. Yeah it wasn't as good as it was hype out to be but that doesn't mean from now on all drafts are mediocre.

When Lakers traded for Anthony Davis and when Cavs traded fro Kevin Love a lot of lottery pick rookies and players got traded. When a team is giving up an All-Star they know they most likely hitting reset button. They want young players. Just like we wanted a bunch of young guys for Lowry.Only one thing matters: We The Champs.

Just like what LJ2 said....if this draft, we develop our All Star in 3 to 5 years no matter “where†that pick lands....it’s a win

Circular reasoning (Latin: circulus in probando, "circle in proving"; also known as circular logic) is a logical fallacy in which the reasoner begins with what they are trying to end with. The components of a circular argument are often logically valid because if the premises are true, the conclusion must be true.

No, we most likely are not. We got worse in the Norm trade, because we have to integrate new players into the rotation. We're currently in line for the 7th pick in the draft and there's almost no incentive (for management) to make playoffs given the team is in Tampa.

The Raptors only need to finish top 10 in the conference to make the playoffs. They're only 1.5 game behind the Bulls in the standings; 2.5 games behind the Pacers. And just 4.5 games behind the 5th place Knicks.
Raptors are going to make the playoffs 100%
We did not. And we do not.Last edited by SkywalkerAC; Fri Mar 26, 2021, 02:29 PM.

The higher you pick ensures you get the best player on your board. Even if it isn't the consensus 1,2,3....you get the guy you think is the best and not having him picked before you get the opportunity. That's basically the benefit.
In 2010 - 0 all-stars were picked out of the top 10
2011 - 2 all-stars were picked in the top ten, 3 from 11- 16 and 2 beyond that
2012 - 4 all-stars in the top 10, 2 (both in the second round) in the rest of the draft
2013 - 1 all star in the top 10, 1 in the 11-16 range, and 1 the end of the draft
2014 - 2 all star in the top 10, 1 in the 11-16 range, and 1 the end of the draft
2015 - 3 all-stars in the top 10, 1 in the 11-16 range
2016 - 3 all-stars in the top 10, 1 in the 11-16 range and 1 (Pascal) the rest of the draft
2017- 1 all-star in the top 10, 2 in the 11-16 range
You can get a future all-star anywhere in the draft, but you have the greater chance in the Top 16... and even greater in the top 5

Bulls just got better at the deadline, they want to make playoffs.
We do not.
And you're also assuming that the Raptors and Bulls will both be in the play in. There's also a scenario where the Raptors or the Bulls skyrocket in the standings and finish in the top 6.Mamba Mentality
