I can't imagine OKC giving up both 6 and Shai for 4. They want to trade him but that's very little value in return, never mind also including the 16.

But a straight trade of 4 for Shai would already be a big win for the Raps. They would be hoping the guy they pick at 4 develops into what Shai already is.

Maybe they see Suggs as the next best thing, so that initial offer to Detroit maybe the same. I admit it was a stretch though to also get no.16 but Shai and no.6 for Suggs could be a possibility

Also what do you think about flipping no.6 for Simmons on a S/T with Lowry or Van Vleet/ Boucher and no.6

You said it yourself, they don’t want to pay any other incoming players so getting rid of Shai is a priority, Raps may have leverage.

That’s great and gives me comfort…BPA based on whatever scientific tool they use.

Although He said that consensus is helpful whether where players go in a specific range.

Well, to be exact.... this is what I said about BPA, about 3 months ago. That's pretty much paraphrasing what Bobby just said.

I mean sure there’s definitely a concept of “tiers”, where a guy who averaged 20ppg is in a higher tier than a guy who scored 2 ppg, obviously.

But trying to get scientific between ranking a Euro pro vs a G-League kid and even between NCAA divisions is where it becomes more of a highly subjective art, than a science. That’s what the internet mock drafts and media experts try to do and look silly, year after year, especially the further you get from the top 5.

Even then, important stuff we never get to see, like workouts have an even bigger impact. That’s basically how & why we drafted Norm and Pascal.

I’m willing to bet that Masai/Bobby/Tolzman’s BPA very often looks completely different than what us hacks or DraftExpress thinks.

At least we can be sure the tier they are in now is different from when they were at 7. That's good at least, it means they don't consider Suggs (or other 2-4 guy) in a big mash of guys from 4-15 or something. At worst they consider him down a tier in 4-6. Now, that would still be bad, IMO, but the tier they are talking about could be the 2-4 tier for all we know. Nothing to increase concern there, and one tiny tidbit of good news. I'll take it, Bobby is usually a wall.
