I too am also falling out of love with Keon. I would much rather have Springer who is younger and has better overall attributes. He is young enough that he will be growing height wise and he is 6'4.

He does look explosive but skills are really lacking. Reminds me of T. Ross but with no shot. If you're ace card is athleticism then your handles better be off the charts because you're not getting to the rim like D Wade unless you can score in isolations. Based on what I've seen Keon doesn't get to the rim against set offenses. If Raps chose him I trust that decision but he's easily one of my least favourite picks in the 6-10 range.
There's this thing called development. You're assuming he's going to be this type of player the rest of his career lol. Guy just turned 19. He's a project like most of the players in this draft.
I'm not comparing him to Vince but Vince rookie season he couldn't shoot and his ball handling was pretty average. DeRozan's another one.
KJ to me is a classic Raptor player because he has a motor and he plays defense. Him, Springer, Moody, Mitchell and Barnes are all classic Raptor type of players. I'm willing to bet that if the Raps stays in the 7-8 range one of those guys will be a Raptor.Mamba Mentality

With Keon for example it looks like he's just looking directly in front of him. He has one option and that's to get to the rim and if that doesn't work there is no counter. And his handles don't look elite enough to get to the rim at the NBA lvl.
Most mocks have Keon ahead of Barnes though so what do I know?

I watched Tennessee a few times this year and can't say I observed the IQ problems people mention with Keon. He seemed like he very much played in the context of the offense and didn't force his game at all. If there's a guy I'm kind of all in on if we pick where he's expected to be, it's 'Off Night'. The coldest nickname in the game, and I think someone that could come in and contribute on day one and make us better and harder to play against. Really the biggest criticism of Mitchell is that because he's 23, his upside may be limited. But he's a guy I think could come in and move the needle right away with an injection of talent, speed, smothering defense, toughness and relative maturity compared to the mostly freshmen draft class.

I would say Keon and Moody both play within the offence and are good at passing out of the double team or in traffic. Keon’s handles do need some work to get to the sports he wants to go but I think that is something that can be developed.
I honestly haven’t seen anything that would suggest that they have below average basketball IQ.
