That's a very unsafe assumption, they say that about every other 19-year old and it happens once or twice out of a hundred. Usually it's their physique and posture that improves. He's not 17, and he's not going to hit 6'7.



Now these are good points. 6'5 is actually fine size for a shooting guard. While Giddey's probably never going to be a plus defender, and imagining him guard NBA guards is the thing of nightmares or dreamscapes, depending what team you're on.

so here is the problem with this idea though. CJ Mccollum is 6'3" Donovan Mitchel is 6'1". Suggs is 6'3. So he is actually shorter than Springer. So even if Springer has a 50/50 shot of growing an inch he is already starting at a decent height. I think 6'4 is perfectly fine in today's NBA assuming the guard has a decent wingspan and quickness.


Overall I would just rather be in the top 4 because anyone we get in there I'd be happy with. I think we can all pick apart someone from outside there. I do agree though Giddey is an intriguing pick, however, I just feel as though the defence is missing. I'd rather gamble on Keon Johnson if he is available or Barnes potentially than gambling on a kid learning to play passable defence. I think for me its just seeing year after year after year of Demar never playing defence and being a sieve as much as I loved Demar.

Mitchel is listed at 6'1 here... weird... ok but still so springer is 6'4 what is so bad about that? So is Suggs. Obviously Suggs is better than springer.

I like Suggs a lot! I watched a bunch of Zag games this year and he just competes so hard. He has that it factor about him.

I think Mitchell is actually 6-1 (in shoes). The NBA forced the teams to report the true heights at the beginning of last year. The college & pre-draft heights are all over the place and usually exaggerated for smaller guys.

I think I've become convinced that Suggs is the clear cut #3 over Green. Frankly the top 5 seems pretty clear cut now, in my mind. Cade. Mobley. Suggs. Green. Kuminga. So easy choices if we get into the top 4 (though honestly I could maybe hear an argument for Green vs Kuminga, that's maybe the fuzziest line to me at this point).

It's if we're down in 7-9 that I feel like I need to do a lot more research. A lot of candidates.

I watched a Giddey game and I honestly don't know how to evaluate him because it looked like a YMCA game. The competition was so poor that I think it's really tough to tell if he's gonna be able to create offensively as he has done in Australia and if he can survive on defense because laterally he is not quick and he doesn't look all that strong either. His frame has obviously filled out but I'm definitely not sold on him.

his defence hasn't improved on the spurs... it wasn't a casey or nurse issue.. casey was decent on defence... obviously not the wizard nurse is but he was a decent coach.... demar just doesn't play defence well.

offensively he will do alright I think. Not as good as we assume. I think people just are high on him because lamelo.

This guy Bouknight can flat out score. I watched some of his highlights yesterday and he's impressive. He's a 3 level scorer.

Loving that Bouknight is becoming an option, the more the merrier. Offensively he's more developed than some of the other options, and could probably act as a capable 6th man in year 1. Some question marks for true "fit" otherwise though, I think.

Even if we fall a spot to #8 we will have one of Keon/Barnes/Moody on the table, along with all the others including Bouknight. That's a tank well done.
