I think right now it's probably easier for them to make the play-in then it is for them to stay where they are at right now (7th pick in the draft). Just based on having Nurse, Fred, Pascal and OG on the team.
Fred has played extremely well without Kyle around. The team seems to play looser, and that's what they need right now. They play extremely tight, like everybody is worried about making a mistake, and then when they surely do they get down on themselves and it escalates.
Pacers will be tougher to surpass (unless they blow things up), but I think they can get ahead of the Bulls in the standings.

I mean, there's 30 games left and they're only 2 games back of the Pacers and Bulls lol.

Yah I started by thinking "even if they trade Kyle and Norm" I still think they can win there share of games and even go on a little winning streak at some point and just make the post season. And I was thinking 8th not play-in

Look at the Raptors schedule after the Blazers game. Other than the 2 games against the Nets and 1 game against Denver, they're all very winnable games.
Compare their schedule to the Bulls. The Bulls schedule the rest of the way is rough. It doesn't matter if they trade for a legit PG like Ball, it's gonna be tough for them. The Pacers schedule isn't any better. I expect both of those teams to fall in the standings.Mamba Mentality

If Lowry and Norm are dealt, how can the rest make up for their production?
Norm averages what, 19 ppg,
and Kyle, 17 ppg, 7apg.
Even if Pascal goes wild which I doubt 100%, the most he can add to his current production would be 10 ppg.
Probably same with Fred.
On the defensive end, how can they replace their contribution to the team?
I just can't see them making the playoffs.

They have the 4th hardest remaining schedule in the league. They'll play the Nets, Clips, Lakers & Denver twice each (including Denver in the altitude tonight where Norm/Lowry might sit out). Pacers have the 3rd easiest remaining schedule.
I'd prefer to keep Norm, but if we were to deal him, I like the Dinwiddie + Pick deal. Dinwiddie is out for the season, so he'd be stashed and not helping us win, which will help us move up in the draft. Nets pick would be low, but could be either used or combined with our own pick and/or whatever pick we got from a potential Lowry deal, to move way up on the draft. Lots of flexibility there.

There is a real possibility of a Ewing Effect here. You can see how Pascal and Fred go super aggressive when Lowry is out and just play freely, rather than overthinking about giving touches to Kyle. They get into a real rhythm, kind of like the old Lowry/DD, Ride & Die offense. The defense also seems better when Lowry is out, but I'm not sure if that's real or imagined.
