I like Barnes but not as much as Ziaire/Keon/Bouknight/Moody.

That may be true but I do think Vuc raises their ceiling JUUUUST enough. Hawks are .. who knows.
I just think from a mental stand point we are deflated more than the other teams despite being more talented and likely better in a normal year. In a normal year with a proper center we SHOULD be sitting around the 4th or 5th seed.
Before the injury he was averaging 28ppg while shooting 50% from the field, 44% from 3. The last 2 games he's only averaging 14ppg and his shooting percentages are way down.Mamba Mentality

I think I prefer Barnes over Keon at this stage, but Keon does look like he has a lot of upside, I find him tougher to gauge. Wouldnt be mad with Barnes or Keon... but maybe Barnes looks like he has a higher floor... as well as a lot of upside. So ya, Barnes.

Jalen Suggs, is 6'5? He looks a LOT shorter than that and he has a fairly slight frame, so not expecting him to be absorbing a lot of contact at the NBA level. He's a nice player but if there's one guy among the consensus top 4 which might drop, Suggs would be my guess. I'm basing this opinion completely off highlights thought

Suggs looks like a bonafide top 4. As of now don't see Kuminga dislodging him, could see Barnes move in to the top 5 though. Suggs is listed at 6'4 I think, so that could be with shoes. In the NBA I think he projects as a combo guard.
The Zags are so deep, any one player can look relatively unimpressive on any given night. They're so unselfish and a number of them can beat you. Their whole starting 5 might make the NBA at some point, 3 are forecast in the 1st round this year alone. Suggs doesn't force his game.
Is it wrong that I'm more interested in the upcoming draft than the rest of the NBA season?

suggs is listed at 6'4" and 205 lbs which is great size for a combo guard, especially at 19 yrs old. LJ2 if you think he looks small keep in mind that everyone else in Gonzaga's rotation is also an NBA prospect.
re: his physicality, the dude was mr. minnesota football and recruited to play quarterback at ohio st. (amongst many others), which is an enormous program. every time i've watched him he's seeking out contact in the paint and diving all over the floor. i think he'll be fine in that regard

Good size for a point guard, non?
So we'd still have a smallish backcourt, but I don't think that would be too much of a problem. Suggs could be brought along slowly as a combo guard off the bench if we keep Kyle from the start of the season and plugged in to the starting back court when he's ready and possibly if Kyle leaves or is traded.
