I have to say, I feel better about picking 7th or 8th in this draft after watching a bunch of the latest mock drafts from various basketball Youtubers. Jalen Johnson showing up in the top five repeatedly, James Bouknight and Alperen Sengun routinely going top 10, Davion Mitchell frequently going as high as 6th - I mean, I get that NBA front offices are generally smarter about basketball than random Youtubers, but on the other hand, just looking back at drafts over the past five years, there are definitely NBA front offices who are, ahem, frequently in the draft who make dumb choices all the time. I'm quite confident that if we draft 7th or 8th, Masai and Bobby will identify potential all-star talent at that slot.

If somehow the ping pong balls bounce our way and we are selecting 1st overall. What are you doing?
Taking Cade or trading down trying to nab another pick? I would probably do the later personally.
A boy can dream right.
I'm all for the tank, but man I've gotten used to playoff basketball and thats not what we are seeing currently. I keep dazing of into the future hoping for greener pastures.

But Masai and Bobby are smarter than I am about this sort of thing.

I would trade down. Cade doesn't exactly fit our team perfectly, and the hype for Cade is so huge that the capacity to pull what Boston did in 2017 by trading the #1 pick for #3 (getting Jayson Tatum, who almost certainly has turned out to be the best player of that class) and getting a future first-rounder in the bargain is huge, except the difference between #1 and any other pick in this draft is probably bigger than it was in 2017 so the haul would probably be bigger.

a smart move would be trading with Orlando for two picks.

It would be worth checking out. I like anyone in the top 4 which likely where Orlando will be picking and then Chicago’s pick which may also be in the top 10. I guess that would be the ultra dream scenario lol

Magic are set at: C (Carter), PF (Isaac) & PG (Fultz/Anthony). They need a legit starter quality wing player and an SF more so than a SG (they have Harris & Ross). Seems like this would be the draft for them to find that big wing, unless they're interested in GTJ.

It's a fair bit easier to list players that are capable of cracking the rotation for this team next season though, so I'm taking out or ranking lower the guys that will be projects:
1. Cade
2. Suggs
3. Green
4. Mobley, only because we are so weak at C.
5. Mitchell
6. Bouknight - this guy is my dark horse.
One top 10 prospect I see a lot of mixed reports on is Kuminga. Physically he seems to have all the tools, but if you listen to to scouting reports he seems really raw. High risk high reward type of player but I'm starting to get vibes of Thomas Robinson from him. I was high on Robinson in that draft LOL.
