Jazz, Clippers, 76ers, Suns are in Top 10 in defensive rating.

You still also need a goto clutch time scorer. Clippers have Kawhi, Suns have Booker and Jazz have Mitchell. Knicks were top 3 defense, but nobody would put Randle in even their top 20 clutch scorers list. If Knicks can land a legit superstar.... they become a problem.Only one thing matters: We The Champs.

I don't think anyone is denying you need a legit scoring threat to be a real dangerous team in the playoffs. It's just this idea the Raps have to pick someone in this draft based on that need which I can't get behind. If it's there it's there but forcing the issue based on that need is poor decision making.
Raps will have a lot of assets at their disposal especially if there is a sign and trade for Lowry. That would leave them with the resources needed for a trade if a star becomes available.

Point being, the Bucks could use a pure scorer right about now, just to avoid being embarrassed.

Well the Bucks are rolling out a startup lineup of 4 legit NBA All-Defense members + Middleton who is also very good; and it’s making zero difference vs the Nets, minus Harden. Meanwhile, the Nets bottom 7 defense is making the Bucks top 6 offense look like scrubs.

You most likely not gonna find that in this draft if we picking outside top 4 though that's LJ2 point. So making it a mission to grab a guy who is a "scorer" might make you miss out on better talent. It's like ignoring better talent because he's not positional fit.

Giannis is a perfect example of why you don't draft based on athleticism and potential and bank on hope that a kid can develop his shooting in the NBA

Forecasting outside of the top 5 is a crapshoot anyway, most of the time, when looking at drafts in hindsight. Your own data proved that. So BPA also becomes meaningless the further down you the draft board. Might as well “reach†for the most potentially gifted scorer then. Or just pull out a dart board if we’re picking 7-11.Only one thing matters: We The Champs.

Well I don't think they should reach in lottery since they are not here that often. They can reach in second round.
The concept of a reach can be highly subjective. The point of getting a high pick is to give you the best opportunity to grab “your guy†whether or not anybody else thinks it’s a reach or not. I trust Bobby & Co to take that approach VS going by the BS mocks and playing it safe... which actually guarantees nothing.

Good reaches look brilliant in hindsight though and safe, “consensus BPAs†routinely get called out like ‘why TF wasn’t your front office on the ball’?
