I'd be mad as hell.. but both Barnes and Kuminga fit the Masai type of mold. Barnes was even raised by a single mom. We love kids who had a single parent when growing up.
We've long been salivating for an alpha.
That'd be either one of the Jalens.

I was reading up on Scottie Barnes before the lottery tonight. He was raised by a single mom. He's a physical specimen. His hands are huge. His wingspan is long. He can play multiple positions. He's got a drive and work ethic to get better. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He can't shoot, but we don't seem to care about that (hence drafting guys like Poeltl, Siakam, OG, etc).
I mean Hollinger has Barnes at #3 in his top 20:

I don't like Barnes because he can't shoot. But I'll learn to love whatever pick Masai makes.
Just don't assume he'll take the obvious guy.. because Masai doesn't think like the average person.

They have Sexton already and are a poorly run organization. They are missing a good wing player. I think they could take Barnes.. or swap 3 with Orlando for 5 and 8.
I'm happy with any of the concensus top 4. Green is probably the one guy that doesn't seem like a Raps type player but we maybe that's not what we need right now.

They need a star though, but you're right you can't put anything past them.

I almost don’t want to watch anymore stuff on these guys. I just want to be happy with whoever they choose. Right now my order is Suggs, Mobley, Green...narrow margins between all of them.
I have to agree Green doesn’t really look like a Raptor type player but the kid is electric.

Well.. Masai is a good drafter. You just have to hope our scouting team knows what they are doing compared to us peons.

Suggs is the only one that’s not a physical specimen but he is a good athlete and has a great motor.
