I wonder if Green would struggle playing within a system? He's not going to have the ball in his hands all the time I can see some tough adjustments he may need to make. On the other hand I could see Mobley and Suggs fitting in really well. They seem more like system players.

There is no player in the top 4 I would be disappointed in getting. The more I've read up on the top 10 or so guys, the more I see the top 4 as a class of their own. And it is so much more valuable having one great player than two good ones you absolutely have to take that shot.
Mobley slips? Hallelujah.
Green is there? Great!
Suggs still on the board? Wonderful.
Cade somehow slips? Unimaginable but also obviously great.
Every one of those picks is a big win. You take it and run.

We have enough good players, we need a potentially GREAT one.
We aren't FA darlings, our only chance of getting a superstar is via the draft.

- Draft interviews started today
- in conversations with Kyle, but only so much they can legally discuss with him
- Masai's part of the draft evaluation process, just 'normal days'
- Planning to play in Toronto at some point next season

Theoretically should allow them to shift resources to the second round prospects.

Yeah it's hard not be excited about a top 4 pick but at the same time, I'm tying to keep it real for now, we don't even know who we're gonna pick. I'll wait to watch more highlights once we actually know who we're drafting. It's an easy trap to fall into but I think a good chunk of the fanbase will get really giddy about the rookie (I am), set the bar really high, then get impatient with them.
That said, this is the perfect year to pick that high, the aggregate ceiling for the top 4 this year is super high. What I wanted to ask the board & draft geeks is this: what are the chances of a bust within this group relative to other drafts? I for one don't care about who we pick within these 4; talent level/potential looks petty equivalent, as long as we don't get a spoiled egg, I'm happy.
A condensed history of the top 4's in prior years:
2013
Top 4 (in order): Anthony Bennett, Oladipo, Otto Porter, Cody zellar
Picked outside the top 4: McCullom, Gobert, Giannis
2014
Top 4 (in order): Wiggins, Jabari Paker, Embiid, Aaron Gordon
Picked outside the top 4: Lavine, Jokic
2015
Top 4 (in order): KAT, D'angelo Russel, Okafour, Porzingis
Picked outside the top 4: Turner, Booker
2016
Top 4 (in order): Simmons, Ingram , Jalen Brown, Dragan Bender
Picked outside the top 4: Jamal Murray, Siakam
2017
Top 4 (in order): Fulz, Lonzo, Tatum, Josh Jackson
Picked outside the top 4: Dearon fox, donovan mitchel, adebayo, markkenen
Basically a misfire on the top 4 every year. 2018 through 2020 looking to have fewer outliers but these are recent years, a lot of the players are still settling on their roles in the league, we'll know better later on. Given this history, I won't be picky - if we can avoid the dud we're golden.
