I think the market has really dried up for him. Masai has set a bar for a S&T already and I don't see anyone paying it. They'd rather keep him then trade him for trash. And not many teams have cap space.

I appreciate the wink, but a shotblocking 7'5-wingspanned Bosh should be considered the prototypical center for the modern era.

Flynn literally did not play at all when both Fred and Lowry were healthy. If you add up all those average minutes you mentioned it's way more than are available at guard. That's because both Fred and Lowry missed significant time. If we bring back Lowry and don't trade Fred we only have minutes for one more guard.

No doubt…but do you think that some of the contenders like the Lakers, Miami and Clippers can still release or waive players to accommodate Lowry and sign him outright?
Sixers is the only viable destination to do a sign and trade but not sure if Masai would even listen to any Morey offer that does not include Ben Simmons
LAC, LAL have no way of generating cap space.
Philly is a viable destination but there is an asking price.. now the bigger problem is they have to actually give Toronto back players on contracts as opposed to expiring players (which they could have done at the deadline). They had their shot IMO and turned their nose up at it.

If the expectation is for the #4 to get over 30mpg next season then that's not going to happen. Even if it was Cade. We are a team looking to compete next season.. not to tank for another year. If we want to tank we should trade Siakam and Fred right now.

What about letting him walk for cap space? If they don't draft Mobley they have to sign a C.
If Lowry is chasing money.. the only legit team with cap space that could afford him is probably NY. Would Kyle go to NY? Maybe.. I don't think he would though, nor do I think the Knicks would want him.

Miami can get cap space.. but I don't think they get rid of Dragic which is likely a possibility to bring in Lowry. Also Lowry doesn't turn them into contenders either.

Look at the 2020 year when we actually had the second best record in the league. Norm averaged 28mpg. McCaw averaged 25mpg. Davis averaged 17. Kyle and Fred did get hurt.. but there will be injuries again next year. Plus Kyle won't play 82 games. We have a lot of room for a 5th guard let alone a 4th one. Nurse loves multiple ball handlers on the floor at the same time. It's not inconceivable to have a 3 guard line up for a lot of the game.

That's the issue though.. not many contending teams with actual cap space. And I think Toronto would welcome him back. And use Birch and Gillie again as our C option. We'll have our full mid-level to go C shopping though with Kyle back.
