Ben Simmons.
Cuz ya gotta be able to shoot in the NBA.
I am on board with this.
Everyone's different though. I don't know why Simmons hasn't developed a shot yet(maybe it's his work ethic?). There's a lot of players who couldn't shoot in college that are now good/great shooters in the NBA. DeMar couldn't shoot when he was in college, now he's automatic from the midrange. Lonzo, Barrett, Lopez, Kawhi etc....there's lots of them, heck LaMelo is turning into a pretty good shooter..

What if Barnes develops a jump shot?
Then he's a better playmaking Paul George with less offense?
calling a kid who played two sports at high level unathletic is just so off. I'm sorry. Now he'll focus on basketball only and I'm pretty sure his shooting will come around and it's not that bad right now.

There's a difference between developing a jumpshot and being a scorer. OG developed a jump shot, but he's not a scorer. Cade has that in his game.
You're assuming that if he develops a jump shot that he's going to be just a spot up shooter like OG. Again, everyone is different. Some of the players that I mentioned are more than spot up shooters.

DeMar had a functional mid-range game coming out of college. It’s the 3-pt shot that never developed… to this day.

True enough but it's going to be several years before he potentially gets there. Cade is there now AND has potential to develop further still. That's why he's the consensus number one because he already has the full package.
Anyone calling Scottie Barnes one of the top 4 needs to actually watch more of his games, not just the highlights. I don’t think he’s that great of a passer and he doesn’t have a good feel for the game (almost looks lost).
Him and Suggs are night and day. I’d rather have the point guard with average size that can play the position at a very high level already than a project just because he has more size.
I think I’m starting to lean towards hoping Green falls (I’ll still be ecstatic with Suggs or Mobley). I think he will be an absolutely electrifying talent on offence. We haven’t had that player since Vince.
Nick and Adrian can probably turn him into average to above average defender. He has the athleticism to defend well, it’s all understanding the concepts and putting in the effort.
If this team needs anything it’s a guy that can just take over on offence.
I guess we’ll see but I’m just happy we are in the position we’re in.
Was playing with the draft simulator and sengun went number 1 over all and davion Mitchell went number 3. Lol I almost forgot about Mitchell he is by far a better player than Suggs.
anyway I drafted Jalen green at 4 and neemias queta at 46 and amar sylla at 47
suggs went 12 after Keon Johnson and jame bouknight
Suggs hit a huge game winner in college I get why people like him. But this is the nba

i would return that draft simulator from where you got it because it's fucking broken
Barnes is someone I would like at 7.... or 6... not at 4 simples as that start from a higher fundamental bace.. even if barnes is better than he was in college shooting he has a long way to go and no he is not a scorer stop pushing that. he isn't there.. maybe he gets there but guess what there are people who are already there at the same age who all will work just as hard.
