But heck, if the worst case is being in a position to draft potentially the best scorer in the draft in Green if none of the better guys slip to you? Not a bad spot to be. And I love how much chatter Green is getting for pick 2 (and even the whispers of 1 though that's complete BS). If one of the top three are there that would be amazing. Though obviously I personally am still holding out hope for Mobley (assuming a non-Cade realistic world).
HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION FOR ANYONE AND EVERYONE...
If anyone decides its worth it to go for a rebuild... why not try to trade Siakam and acquire a second pick... and no I am not Tim W in disguise. I would just rather do that then get the 7 Wiseman and Wiggins.

Yes, it's possible another lottery pick might yield a better player than Pascal. But mostly, this is a "that draft pick could be anything - even Pascal Siakam!" sort of a situation.

his shot isn't even that bad too. If mobley is available at the 3rd pick I can see the raptors trying to go after him..

I am trying to understand the thinking, why do you want wiggins? He never wanted to come here, he did want to play for Canada until everyone in the states labeled him a bust and complete trash ask Stephen a smith.

Siakam is basically who you hope to get out of a lottery draft pick, let alone the #27 we got him with - a perennial All-Star candidate bordering on all-NBA. He might not be a primary scoring option, but that's fine, he does literally everything else at a high level.

I got some news for ya, the Raptors are a rebuilding team lol. Does anyone here actually think this is a contending team or in a win now mode like the Warriors? they're a rebuilding team. Winning the lottery has accelerated their rebuild a bit but make no mistake they're not in the same situation as the Warriors. That's why if i'm Masai, I would call Bob Myers and offer Siakam for Wiggy, Wiseman and 7.
how about we ask for Draymond too?

The Raps this year are a playoff team. Not likely to be a contender, not this year. But definitely a playoff team that will improve.

The new CBS mock draft - which is basically just a big board, because it's based solely on the writer's estimate of how good the players will be in the NBA - is *wild*.
Suggs at 2, Barnes at 3, Mobley at 4, Green at 5. Then things get nuts: Ziaire Williams at 6, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (!) 9, Ayo Dosunmu (!!) 11, Chris Duarte 12, Cam Thomas at 14. He's got Herbert Jones ranked above Moses Moody and Jaden Springer, and Neemias Queta ranked above Jalen Johnson, who he's got at #30.

By that I mean I think we don't need to just trade FVV and Siakam and go into FULL rebuild... especially with this pick. I do think that this playoffs validated alot.
First of all I think its bad to make the playoffs EVERY year for a decade because of the toll it takes on your body. Especially if you have deep playoff runs.. plus it keeps you hungry. I am happy we didn't make the darn play-in game that would have been wonky and unfortunate. I definitely do not think we are in "win now push everything into the middle for winning". Like we should not be going for lillard. I do think we should see what we have next year and then make the decision from there. The nets aren't going to be winning more than 2 because I don't see them staying together for longer than the end of these guys contracts. So we do have a window right after that. The nets also aren't young. They are all injury prone and near the end of their prime.
I just maintain that FVV and possibly GTJ and picks in the future will help us get what we need if we do need an upgrade. I think if we get evan mobley FVV and picks for Lavine is the PERFECT trade to try to make.
