I'm a Suggs fan but I should point out that Barnes was a much better offensive rebounder.. and that typically translates better than defensive rebounding in the NBA.

I don't remember him saying that specifically about the cavs and him being happy.. but that said what do you want him to say.... that he is super unhappy. He spoke highly of him.
For Suggs I think he wants to go as high as possible money wise but will obviously be quiet about it. Green doesn't want to risk slipping. Mobley wants to go to the best dev situation based on his comments and his coaches.

I am looking at total rebounds... but also that could be scheme wise what happened. If he can't shoot he will naturally be closer to the free throw line. So he is rebounding more in that case.
I'm a big no on Barnes. You don't have to sell Suggs to me (or anyone else). But I think Barnes could be a decent rebounder in the NBA despite having poor numbers in college.

Free agency is after the draft. S&T's can include current picks (once their rookie contracts are signed), but they would have to be drafted by their incumbent team first. And there is no guarantee that the guy they pick is the guy the Raps would want. And you can't have a discussion about free agents before free agency otherwise the NBA will come down with a punishment for collusion.
Still though... I think it would be lucrative falling back in this one for multiple picks.
And then when FA comes after try to get a quality starting center.

It's not about numbers per se.. its about offensive rebounding rate. But yes, he (or his team) could miss more, and he's more willing to up for boards.. where as Suggs could be going back on defense after a shot goes up.

The problem is if Houston WANTS to guarantee having Green then they will obviously be hard to convince. It is possible but a move up to 3 may be easier. I used to think otherwise but we will see. They may be able to swing it because Barnes clearly hasn't worked out for Cleveland.

I think the Rockets really fumbled this up. They apparently made a promise to Green. If that was true, I could see why it would piss of both Suggs' and Mobley's camps. Why should they work out for the Rockets if they don't want them?
I do know Mobley clearly said that he would be happy being picked by the Cavs (god knows why). Suggs has been very quiet this whole draft season. The only thing that has come out for him is he had a workout in Detroit planned.
It is possible the Raptors told Mobley and Suggs to be quiet about their workout and they are obliging. The fact that there is a report out there stating that the Raptors have had no issues getting guys to workout for them is very promising.

That said, if the Raps decide they want Steven Adams, they can just trade for him outright even if Kyle doesn't sign with New Orleans. I mean, NO actively wants his salary gone. We could probably extract a pick from them for doing them the favour.

The thing is, it makes no sense for a consensus top 4 to be hush, hush about working out for a team with a top 4 pick. Those are the team's everyone is expecting those players to workout for. Now if Raps have worked out say Bouknight multiple times and like him then obviously they want to keep that under the radar.
I'd be shocked if neither Suggs or Mobley worked out for Toronto by now.

Yeah I guess it is a bit strange.. unless it's coming from Suggs' and Mobley's camps directly. I believe they share the same agent too. So they could just not want anyone to know where they worked out. And Toronto is so hush hush that you don't get anything from them. Weltman is a former Raptor GM so he probably keeps a tight ship too.
