Absolutely... I love Suggs attitude. It shows that he'll do whatever it takes to get better, regardless of how "it looks".
But top 5 picks generally don't see G-League time unless they aren't panning out as expected, or recovering from injury. Are there any examples of otherwise?Only one thing matters: We The Champs.

That makes a lot more sense, but his handlers might have flubbed that one.“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”

I think this will be more common going forward around the league given the increased reputation of the G League as well as teams having their own G League teams."My biggest concern as a coach is to not confuse winning with progress." - Steve Kerr

Especially given how closely it's run, you have to assume that you will see some time there, just to get some additional run.

It would look bad on the front-office if they had to send a top 4 pick to the G-League for seasoning. I mean sure, maybe ALL picks really should go down to the G-League to improve their game. But you just don't see it, although I do believe Jakob (9th) spent some time there, so I guess there is some Raptors' precedent.
You also don't see players talking about 'wanting' to play anywhere but in the big league. Norm's goal was to "prove he didn't belong there" - not to get better. It was just an odd sound-bite to hear from a top 4 pick, since we're so used to hearing the opposite. No biggie, really.

Suggs is a top 4 pick.... not a late 1st to undrafted.

It's not like he's too humble. He also has quotes in the same call about how teams that pick other players above him will regret it.

Shai is due for his big contract next year and OKC is allergic to giving guards big deals. That's why he's available for the right offer. It's Harden all over again.

I'm just baffled by the notion of it. The guy they want to trade him for is.....also a guard. Why gather all these picks to draft lottery talent only to trade them when it comes time to pay them? Are they not very high on SGA...he seems like a legit star in the making?

Can't blame them, Cade is someone you can build a contender around. Like a Luka.
