  • Game #32 Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors Tuesday February 23, 7:30 p.m. ET

The Philadelphia 76ers and the Toronto Raptors do battle once again at the Amalie Arena on Tuesday night. The Philadelphia 76ers have been in a rut lately as they’ve lost four of their last six games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting rolled by the Raptors in a 110-103 road loss on Sunday. Ben Simmons led the way with 28 points, nine rebounds and five assists on nine of 11 shooting, Joel Embiid added 25 points with 17 rebounds and two blocks while Tobias Harris chipped in with just 13 points on six of 17 shooting. As a team, the 76ers shot just 38 percent from the field and 11 of 37 from the 3-point line as they led early in the fourth quarter before going ice-cold to allow the Raptors to go on a pivotal 18-5 run to steal momentum and the game.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have been in great form for a while now as they’ve won nine of their past 12 games and they will be aiming for a fifth straight victory after Sunday’s tough win over the 76ers. Pascal Siakam led the team with 23 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, Fred VanVleet added 23 points with nine assists while Chris Boucher provided the spark off the bench with five 3-pointers on his way to 17 points on six of eight shooting. As a team, the Raptors shot 49 percent from the field and 14 of 34 from the 3-point line as they hung tough in a close contest, until breaking free with a barrage of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.

(If it ain't broke, don't fix it)

    Some interesting facts:
    • Siakam is actually playing better against good teams this year: 24/9/4.5 on 49% shooting against above .500 teams this year. He was averaging 20/7/4 on 39% shooting last year against .500 teams last year.
    • The Aron Baynes / Chris Boucher 2 man lineup net rating per 100 possessions right now is +61.6. Not only is this the league leading combo this season, but it’s the best in NBA history since the data became available. Killer Bs.

It would be special if the Raptors come away with a win. Such a Raptors thing to do. Start 2-8, then beat the Bucks and Philidelphia 2-0 each in their last two mini series matchups.

love that last stat about Boucher and Baynes. Hitting 5 straight 3's will do that. Nice to see what the mad scientist has come up with

Boucher works best as a PF and help side rim protector. Still looks like we could use a legit starting center to keep Baynes in the bench role. Not sure if we can continue beating up Pascal & OG with small ball for an entire regular season.

I thought they would have brought in another C by now, but I wonder if they have a target in mind. They seem to be prioritizing the fit for their system over potential injury risk to OG/Siakam.

Beating the Bucks back to back and following that up with the same for the Sixers would be quite the feat.
