Zebras tilted the floor just enough near the end to change the outcome.

Record low posts for a game thread?

Time to get serious re what can we squeeze outta some desperate team for Kyle?
Time to start Freddy and Norm and see what happens.
Offer to bring Kyle back as a FA for less than the 30M he wants; if he walks he walks then but at least you didn't lose him for nothing.

Retire his number the same night Houston does Harden lol

Add on Beal’s victims this season - Clippers killer

Masai and Webster would fail their duties if the Wizards would offer Beal and their 2021 FRP for Van Vleet/Powell and Raps 2021 FRP

Too bad about the refs, the raps fought in this one, had a small chance at the end. Why was norm on the bench for so much of the 4th?

They probably wont make the playoffs so norm is useless to them, they get a worse pick so its basically fred for beal. They can get more than fred for the league leader in scoring

Whatever happens please lets not go into the playoffs with baynes getting considerable pt. It’ll be a serious lesson in utter frustration

True. In a funny coincidence, i fired up a game of NBA2K21 today I had him on the floor and he was so slow it felt like steering the titanic in sand.

Much better game with the expected outcome. Bench played really well. Lowry got a team record 19 assists, and has beaten both Ford and Calderon (both had 18 in a game). If it wasn't official before, it sure is now.. best Raptor guard/player of all time. But his legs were so heavy and his shots were front rimming or air balling every time. And that sucked. You can see his old legs dragging him down. Father time sucks.. but he was still doing a lot to keep these guys a float.

Of course Norm was awesome again. But he looked tired near the end too. Davis thankfully showed up.. his best game of the year after that awful performance against Detroit. Stanley hit 4 threes which we needed. Boucher had a huge game.

Ultimately it came down to defense. And a Nurse defense requires energy, and that's tough to do with a limited group of guys on a back to back. Just happy they gave a fan like me a fun game to watch instead of that eyeball hurting game from the other night.

Hopefully after this break we get everyone back with no lingering side effects. It took guys like Tatum and Jimmy a long time to adjust after getting covid.

Speaking of defense, I want to know how TF do the Knicks have the #2 ranked defense in the entire NBA? Their starters are journeymen like Reggie Bullock, Elfrid Payton & Nerlens Noel, plus a previously defense allergic Julius Randle. The second unit features 2 rookies (Toppin, Quickley) and yet another journeyman, Alec Burks. They aren't doing all the funky stuff that Nurse is doing.

Is it smoke & mirrors.... or is Thibs just that good at defense.

Basically Knicks do the same thing as Raptors. They give up a lot of threes but they try to contest as much as they can. They focus on guarding the paint. Difference is Raptors guards are short and Raptors bigs suck major ass compared Noel and Robinson. Knicks can funnel opposing guards towards them and they will contest at the rim. Raptors have Baynes and Boucher. Boucher gets his blocks mostly from help side so he's not really that paint defender you can funnel opposing guards towards.
