Seeing Siakam go 1-on-1 ISO vs DPOY Gobert in the paint down the stretch there (with the game on the line) was hard to see. I could see it clanking way before it happened.

Team played well though. I like Nick's decision to finally give certain guys extended looks without the pressure of a quick hook as soon as they make a couple of mistakes (It's very hard to develop and naturally let the game come to you with that kind of approach). Rotating players with secure minutes is a much better way to give guys confidence & rhythm.

We’re only 2 games behind the Cavs. Need to reunite the Stanley/Bembry/Baynes trio. Also a great time to get McCaw some run.
Currently at 23.5% chance of drafting in the top 4, with the 9th hardest remaining schedule. Unnleash the McCaw-Baynes pick and roll and the Stanley johnson drives.

Pretty fun game.. haven't seen one of those in a long time. Feel sort of bad for Pascal. He's just so anti-clutch. But our offense lead to bad shots, which lead to fast break opportunities for the Jazz and they took home the win. They were just the better team, despite playing in a second game of a back to back on the road.

The free throw disparity is hilarious but at the end of the day most of the fouls called against the Raptors were legit. The three shots for Conley was really stupid but he missed two of his attempts anyway... they were still in the bonus and would have gone to the line.

The fouls are 100% because we have no legitimate center. Gobert is too tall not to foul. Mitchell was blowing by Fred because he's still not 100% and we fouled because we have no real rim protection.

We are now 7 games back of .500. 3 games back of 8th. 1.5 games back of a play-in. And the two teams ahead of us (Indiana and Chicago) have a game in hand! If we lose to either the Cavs or Rockets we truly do suck. Masai/Bobby failed us.. no center all year, when they 100% knew that was the issue.. and now here we are.

If we had a decent big, we would have been fine.. but I think it might be too late. I don't know anymore.

Ho does a team get 41 FREE THROWS???

I have never seen Nick Nurse so despondent.
"This ship is got holes all over the place"
"Nothing positive for anyone over the top 5 and even they have issues getting back into shape and at both ends, getting our ass kicked, nobody rebounding"

Singled out Baynes and Boucher by name for defense. He was pissed off not just at the refs but at this roster he's been given. Talked as only a coach with a guaranteed contract can talk as you could tell it was directed at Masai/Bobby as well.

Speaking of which, it's looking more like the odds of Masai leaving are greater than they were a year ago. This is a shat show.

If Masai leaves this team in a dumpster and goes to an eastern conference rival, there are going to be a few eyebrows raised about the Giannis gambit and roster management in this last year or so.

To me, it's kind of ridiculous that the Masai contract has not been worked out and announced already (he sure didn't sign on a high note) unless he knows he's leaving, then it makes more sense. His (in)actions re this roster have been underwhelming to say the least. If he just took care of Bobby, ignored the team deficiencies and then leaves for greener pastures, yes eyebrows will and should be raised

They played pretty well overall against a very good team. This game just highlights our massive need at center.

The same one we've had all season. That one?

                    You guys remember this guy?

Rotation champion, elite rim protector and our best 3pt shooter last playoffs, also hitting inside and from the midrange with ease. We decided we were too good for him though (We wanted to prioritize the washed up guy that was 5 years older, didn't know where the basket was anymore and was looking for a lesser role). Then lost both for nothing.

                    Anyway, he says hi...

                    • Masai replaced him with .... Alex Len.
He came here for a coffee while Serge is sipping Cali Merlot

Not that I think he's leaving but isn't it normal to strip down a team for new management to take over and start fresh?

Anyway, I know watching the team lose is hard but we're sort of right where we are supposed to be. Transitioning to a new core which will get built around with an eye towards a championship.
