Not sure about that. Norm only broke when he was put in the starting lineup, and he was clearly pegged as a bench guy under Nurse, unless there were injuries; hence, the inconsistency. After Green left, the choice was basically between Fred and Norm as starting SG.... and Nurse went with FVV. The logical choice would have been to have FVV elevate the bench as the backup PG, but Fred was abysmal in that role after the one breakout year bench mob season (2017-18), with Pascal, Jakob & Delon.

Nurse wouldn't have made him a starter right away but I think he would have gotten a lot more minutes and opportunities. Casey had an infatuation with old shitty journeyman players.

Really good game from GTJ. Almost all his threes were catch and shoot (and all his made ones were), as they should be, and he created a bunch of pull up midrangers when the bench looks needed bailing out. Perfect, exactly what they need from him.

What would have happened to this 23 year old psyche if Nurse preferred to start an oft-injured Birch from the very beginning of the season over this guy?
I mean having him start when Birch is down then yank him back to come off the bench to accommodate Birch.
thank god Nick Nurse for coaching this team vs. a number cruncher lol

If we plan on using him in a trade he's peaking at the right time.

off season may end up being the best time to do this but if his contract was longer i'd argue in favor of keeping him.
