Um, no that wasn't the issue(s) being talked about around here. The main issue fans on the site felt moving Gary to the bench would fix is the slow starts and defense. Neither of those issues have been resolved....yet.

At the end of the day what difference does it make if Gary is playing better if the team is losing?

It's diagnosing the issue correctly. Gary coming off the bench has been a positive, it's not the issue. We can move him back and forth from bench to starter all day long and it won't fix our issues. Gary coming off the bench has been a positive.

You are taking this as something that this occurrence of Gary being benched regardless of him having improved his numbers and the team struggling is totally mutually exclusive.

As I said before so many times, Nick Nurse chose a road that was easier for him. Favoritism and Politics.

When he called out Trent about his game, Nurse himself acknowledged that Trent was STILL playing injured or was recovering from an injury. But he doubled down by demoting him then compounded a sticky situation by also benching Scottie Barnes. Although, both Trent and VanVleet were on the same boat, both struggling and playing injured at that point.

Between this and the other thread you've stated that Gary coming off the bench has been positive. Positive for his own game maybe, but the team is still struggling so the move hasn't fixed the issue. Thus, the issue has not been diagnosed correctly unless they can find the right replacement in the starting line up. Not sure what the win % is for the Raps with Gary coming off the bench this season, but it feels like it's worse than with him starting.
