Well, also seeing the pattern here. This team gets up for the good teams and just barely loses. But they absolutely don't show up for the bad teams.

At what point does it become obvious the players themselves have basically given up on the season? No excuse for these shit showings against Houston, Detroit, etc.
We have forgotten what a bad team looks like. This, this is what it looks like.

But, seriously, they can't rebound, they can't keep anybody off the line and they can't defend the three. You can't win when you're constantly losing those numbers game in and game out. And those numbers tonight flattered them cause they got absolutely killed on the glass and at the line when it mattered.

And there's no sense even talking about how they have no depth cause it's trite at this point: Rodney Hood is their best guard/wing/forward option off the bench. Let that sink in.

    • Whats all the fuss about, clearly, theyve all embraced the tank.

Nah players and Nurse are not tanking. But management for sure

They have packed it in. Its a lost season and they know it. There will some competitive games going forward, a few wins, but they dont care.

Sure, but how do you let the Pistons bench scrubs drop 65 on you? It’s not like every team has all-stars coming off the bench and we don’t. Let’s face it, we can’t develop new rotation & bench players anymore. Davis just dropped an efficient 14 points in 18 minutes off the bench for the Kangz of all teams and he’s worse than trash here? Alex Len is starting for the Wizards AND in the closing lineup in a tight game? There’s something else going on here with players, roles and system.

              • ^^^ is that “I told you so” moment post...

I agree with you on TD though....lots of promise but growth hindered in favor of Nurse favorites

Good thing Flynn’s dad was more vocal

                lol

Players and coaches never tank. But the normal way to tank is for management to trade the veterans and play the young guys. That’s what OKC is doing. This is the opposite, which makes it so weird. We’re fielding 4 NBA champions in the starting lineup. And an NBA championship coach. There’s no way the should be this bad, unless they were highly overrated to begin with and last year was a fluke.

                  • You can also say that with JV and Powell early in his career

Derozan was never going to give up those possessions

I really am hoping we are not going in that same direction with Van Vleet now with his inefficient games starting to pile up while others are just staring and fully dependent of him to carry this team

                    remember those hashtags

so far....TD, Matt Thomas and relatively Powell are collateral damage

                    who next?

We'll find out eventually. A.I is saying that Siakam is pretty much same guy as last year. Which doesn't bode well if true.

They're playing out the string and they know it.

                        • Its pretty clear when they dont give a shit. It happens all the time in the league. Like the Denver game the other night. They didnt care either. Its just going to happen more frequently going down the stretch for the Raps.

Not following what you're saying. Do you think Raps are tanking or simply taking advantage of a bad situation in an off year to get a good pick?

I fully expect them to address their flaws in the off season and while I would prefer them to keep their pick I could absolutely see them packaging it for a player ready to contribute now.

If competing with this core isn't the plan then they would have dismantled it by now.

                            • Well, if they really are playing out the string and don’t give AF, then so much for the so-called winning culture and high character players we brag about here.

They played like a bunch of guys who have been living out of a hotel room for the last three months. Tired and ready to break.
