i wonder if nurse would hire him back? the part about him screening conversations people would get to have with nurse, without nurse's knowledge, had to have come from someone affiliated with toronto, or formerly affiliated (like an ex player). suggests that maybe not everyone here loves him either

anyhow, quite a different picture there from all the glowing quotes a few months ago.
You do have to take all this stuff with a grain of salt, too. Who knows how much of it is hearsay, or spin or outright fabrication. Problem for the coach is that anything he says is only likely to make things worse. What he could use is a guy like Brogdon or Sabonis to come to his defense.....

      • I guess they prefer the pick. Hope the lottery gods are kind to them.

Well the 5:30 Official NBA Injury Report is out and as shocking and as a complete a surprise to everyone as it can be....Kyle Lowry is listed as OUT.
          Shocking.
          Simply Shocking.

The Toronto Raptors have announced that point guard Kyle Lowry will not be available for Thursday's game against the Washington Wizards due to rest.

Yuta Watanabe (right ankle soreness), Chris Boucher (left knee sprain), Paul Watson Jr. (left knee tendinitis), OG Anunoby (left calf injury rehab) and Aron Baynes (left foot contusion) have also been ruled out of the game, while trade deadline acquisition Gary Trent Jr. returns to the lineup after missing the past six games.

There's virtually no live players available and they rest Kyle Lowry for .... rest

            • Tank was super-on tonight: not only did we lose a very tight game to the Wizards, but Indiana won (which almost kills any remaining hope for a play-in game), and Chicago beat the Hornets (!) which means as of now we're at the 7th pick in the draft.

                • Last call at the Last Chance Saloon

A great effort from an undermanned team that got this game to an overtime.
Despite acute brain cramps from the one and only Russell Westbrook down the stretch the Whiz manage to hang on to win over a pretty game Raps team.

The Bulls pull out of their nose dive at least temporarily with the return of Zach Lavine and post a 20 point win over the Hornets.

The Pacers almost asphyxiate down the stretch but hang on to beat the Hawks and stop their slide from 9th to 10th.

                  5 to go.
Though mathematically possible to make the playoffs the magic number is 1.

                  • So much for the Pacers imploding. Sabonis and Levert can keep them afloat.

Pacers and Wizards win and a Raptors loss, Play in just became even less likely than it already was. Bulls won as well, that dropped the Raptors to 7th in the lottery.

                    • It's all over. We will be playing some joke lineups the rest of the way, no point in winning anymore games than Chicago does. Best path is to lock up the 7th seed.

                        • I think after everything this franchise has endured this year there should be a "frozen envelope" in it for us at the lottery.

                            LOL...

Adam owes us for the year long non stop negotiating with Leonard while he was under contract and his stunning stance on the law suit brought against Ujirii...

                            • Giving the Raptors an extra pick at the end of the first round would be a fair and reasonable "thank you" gesture for taking one for the league.

                              • Haven't missed the play in yet, but it's getting a lot closer. Indiana's magic number is now 4. Raptors can still go 4-1 the rest of their way, while Indiana goes 0-6. It's unlikely more than ever now but this is a weird ass season.
