It will be nice to get a former player (not too far removed from the game) commentating on the game. Almost refreshing because we get a different take on what guys are going through.

But then we have some examples where it doesn't work. Chris Webber is really bad at it for example, and he does nationally televised games. I'm not a big fan of Reggie Miller either. Magic Johnson back in the day wasn't great either.

But Bill Walton was amazing. He also had a huge personality though.

Hoping for the best for Boogie, but I think he'll end up being pretty dry and boring as well.

Chris Webber is so terrible. When he starts talking his same old "young kids watching this right now, this is why you work on fundamentals" I roll my eyes

Walton was great but then as he got old he did the same crap as Leo and would be talking about nonsense while a great game was going on. They just get too comfortable and stop doing a good job. There is a shelf life on sports announcers but we have a really hard time letting them go when they get there and usually we get many years of bad announcing before someone finally takes some mercy on us and pulls the plug.

Is this for real, though? Surely not all MLB players are vaccinated, and they’re crossing the border freely…

The thought process is MLB got their exception when cases were dropping and everything looked good. Now we've got a Delta resurgence and cases are going up, so NBA is unlikely to get the same exception as MLB. I don't think NHL got the exception either but the NHL is almost 100% vaccinated.

Raptors have upgraded everything in the organization to world class in recent years, but the broadcast team is still a relic from the old Craptors days. Way overdue for a full rebuild, not just a makeover.

My guess is that they want only fully vaccinated to be able to enter the scotia bank arena. The Blue Jays technically play outdoors, so their requirements are a bit more relaxed.

These things are odd, I used to like Leo and dislike jack, now I think it's the opposite assuming Jack's voice holds up for the whole game. Though last year his hair creeped me out, not sure if that's just me or a thing.
