Dude I didn't even bring up Shai to begin with. I proposed a pick swap with OKC straight up.

All I said was Masai with 2 FRP's is deadly. "He lucked into Booker" is pretty much the story of the draft this past decade with the top 5 picks usually being media-driven selections by journalists and analysts.

Also, you are quick to forget that Bamba, Bagley and MPJ were also highly regarded in that class. ATL even traded Doncic, they got lucky Trae Young hit.

I will be happy with keeping pick number 4, as I've said many times. I trust whatever Masai is planning to do.

This hasn't been true for a half decade or so. Unguaranteed deals (including in the upcoming season if you are past the trade deadline) do not count for salary matching. Have to guarantee whatever amount we want to use for matching. He's just a regular contract expiring in summer 2022 if we use him to match in a trade. Admittedly, a useful piece given that we can decide exactly how much to guarantee. But not quite the cheat code these contracts used to be.
