you miscount one thing and Masai actually admitted that during the interview end of the season, that..."No One wants to come here", Especially Canada have different policies interms of crossing the border, I know A LOT of NHL FAs doesn't want to come to Canadian teams this off season due to the border, even they are Canadians, so that's one of the main factor.

We’re already stocked at centre - Precious, Boucher, Barnes, Gillespie, Champagnie and someone like Birch. If we really wanted we could just stick with Dragic and we’d be fine.

The roster is already pretty full. Needs some consolidation perhaps, but that doesn’t have to be done in free agency. Free agency splashes are usually poor value, don’t forget that.

That's like the WORST move, because think about it, if Raptors have 10+ Canadians on the roster, how would an American FA view as Raptors?? they are a bunch of Canadians in Canada, they would further push FAs away from signing Toronto.

The ONLY good strategy is the Spurs-Model, get 3 franchise players as your core: Duncan-Parker-Ginobili, lock them up forever, and you just add-subtract every year with different role players, could either be a FA or vet, or from G league or overseas.

The problem and REALITY that many of us couldn't face is, Siakam-OG-FVV aren't Duncan-Parker-Ginobili

Could this be another offseason that proves Toronto is just not a free agent destination just like what Masai had said?

Only way to improve the team is via trade. Yes of course, develop the picks but that takes years and will be always be a revolving door. Unless it is a generational talent, you try your luck.

Masai should consider a core with OG/ GTJ/ Barnes and Flynn in mind, now that Lowry is gone. Trade to match the timeline of these young guys.
