Well, not exactly. We were angling for max space and then we pivoted away from that strategy when Giannis extended. Since then we've been in flexible asset-collection mode. Anyone that had huge expectations for a free agent splash frankly must not have been paying much attention - or wanted us to re-up Lowry.

Or... we are right back the the drawing board, sketching up new a new Plan A.

Usually Grange is used by the Raps to leak stuff - not always accurate stuff, just the stuff they want out there.
So either they are prepping the fan base for him staying (which is possible, they could use the extra guard and would look to get value at the deadline instead) or sending a leverage message to other teams that they are fine to keep him if the offers don't get more reasonable.

For the record, not sure why everyone is SO down on Dragic like hes a complete anchor. If you're trying to win, he will definitely help. We're all of a sudden VERY thin with experienced ball handlers. If we kept him we could either
a) have everything come together back at home and be a top 4 seed in the east and keep him for a playoff push in an always uncertain east and then he comes off the books, or
b) flip him later this year as an expiring9 time first team all-RR, First Ballot Hall of Forum
