And once again, why are we prioritizing term? 2021 was the priority... we’re doing awesome.
Almost any of these contracts can be traded if you need open up cap space. Serg could’ve been traded easily if we would’ve offered him a 2 or 3 year contract last summer. Sign talent when you can, you can figure it out later as long as the contract isn’t ridiculous.

But again, how come a team like the Hawks are able to re-sign their guys on a discount, while Raps have to constantly overpay our middling FA guys? Heck, we're bending over forwards to make sure Lowry gets paid handsomely to play on a rival team in our conference and come back and kick our ass.

Let's just turn our attention over to potential trades shall we? We have Dragic and Boucher who don't look to fit into our immediate or long term plans and all our picks (correct me if I'm wrong) as well as Pascal if Raps are really making him available. Lillard, Beal, who's the unhappy star wanting to force their way to LA this year and how to do we get them to Toronto instead?

I'm not sure how easy it would be to trade Serge into cap space though. Especially if he got hurt like he did in LA.
The Giannis dream was worth it. A Murray dream is not IMO.

Is there a chance this whole thing could still unravel? Not sure how these S&T things work, but is the contract first signed with the Raptors and then traded to the Heat? If the trade part of the deal collapses... does that mean Lowry re-signs with the Raptors? That would be hilarious.Only one thing matters: We The Champs.

For what it's worth somebody on reddit who is "insider" said yesterday that Raptors are trying to find third team and they have till Thursday but if Raptors don't find what they like Miami will have to send more assets.
