Offensively skilled players can turn up the effort on defense in the playoffs. But defense first players can’t necessarily crank up their skill on offense. That’s why we need to draft the highest upside scorer we can and teach them how to play passable defense.

I dunno, turning Giannis into a 2 time MVP when he’s clearly just an uber athlete lacking high end basketball skills is a minor miracle. That team is operating at its peak potential, which is all a coach can really do.

I think giannis was already on that track. Plus I'm not really questioning his individual development skills, more so his ability to read a game and or series and adjust if needed. (Wether it be by different plays, defenses, or substitutions/matchups)
