Hawks have a chance for sure. They just beat the EC #1 seed in a road game 7. I'm impressed, a young team doesn't normally do this on their first run. Flubbed a couple possessions late there but otherwise very composed. Trae's a baller.

You'd think yes.. they should get by the Hawks in 5 or 6....
but after watching the Habs who have nuthin (still incredibly bitter) crawl to a lead in the semi's ....maybe the Hawiks keep it going and push the Bucks hard.... They can win on the road ... Mark of a good team.

It's an interesting match-up - Atlanta really doesn't have anyone that matches up well with defending Giannis - Philly could have put a combination of Simmons, Harris, and Mike Scott on him. Huerter probably gets to defend Middleton, Capela on Lopez.

On the opposite side, not sure how well Jrue will be able to defend Young. Trae shot 5 for 23 tonight, and still ended up with 21 points.

Will be interesting to see how the teams adapt/counter what the other team wants to do

And hey - both teams are coached by men who are renowned for their ability to adapt to changing circumstances

And every NBA executive has just watched a guy who has been playing in the league for four years (not counting his injury-plaqued first year) that hasn't learned how to shoot free throws, hasn't expanded his offensive game, be benched in the fourth quarter of must-win playoff games because he was a liability.

And fans/pundits think that other teams are going to give up premium assets to acquire a guy making $30M+ each of the next four years that hasn't proven he can stay on the floor in the fourth quarter?

That was the 'feel good' ball-movement team with Horford, Millsap, Carroll, Teague, and Korver - that had talking heads pondering whether you needed to have multiple superstars on your team to win in the NBA - that team then got dismantled by LeBron and Kyrie, and started those same talking heads saying that you needed superstars to win.
