I've said it from day one..when I saw him play..Live..I knew this kid was special.
This off-season they have 2 move Freddy and let Scottie b the guy at PG..
I'm telling u, u can't have the old guard stick around, it ain't gonna work.. let him b the man. His a pg..let him b our Magic..but I c him more as Scottie Pippen.

        • I thought the obvious comparison to himself (and tampering lol, might have well have said "he's look great as a Laker") was a bit over the top (early) but how many would have guessed that Magic was only 6'9 220 himself, so says Google.

          • I have officially adopted Scottie as "my boy" as well as "my guy"
Henceforth, no one else can claim that or my lawyers will be in touch

Considering how much Fred succeeds off ball and how much Pascal desperately needs to move to the 2nd option role rather than the 1st option, Scottie seems like a perfect fit for them. The team can just hand him the keys without moving anyone!

                I agree.
And have Beal as the SG?

                • Beale and Buckets were two stars that I actually thought we had a shot with as FA much more than a guy like The Alphabet.
                  Nope ....

                  This team needs some sandpaper.

                  • Barnes needs to play if he can. He needs playoff reps. I also think we'd be in this series still if he was healthy and we win Saturday if he plays.

I'm also very good with the offseason plan being Scottie is the starting PG next season, do whatever else we need to make that as effective as possible.

One thing I don't understand is people suggesting he shouldn't play if he is healthy.

If he is healthy he should DEFINITELY play. If he isn't though... then obviously hold him out.

Yeah, there shouldn't be a different standard if it was 2--1 or 3-0. He's either good to play or not, and the same rules should apply.

Why is it always Raptor fans are jumping for joy when a rookie is compared to one of the greatest basketball players of all time?! you are already setting yourself up to a disappointment when he won't reach it cause seldom do. Just like Anthony Edwards isn't going to be the next Jordan, Scottie ain't gonna be the next Magic.

Lower your expectations people, even mentioning guys who never been the greatest of all time but did really well in the league is also a high praise.

I see Barnes as somewhere of a hybrid of maybe a Pippen Or Lamar Odom is also a very good thing to have. Nobody is hating on Draymond Green in Golden States just because he didn't become that high scorer player or 3 pointer specialist that others envisioned of him, but what he brings to the team overall.

If Barnes just improves his defense, his 3 point shot and his passing game in the next few years, I would be more than happy with that. Better to be happy with the player he become's (without the outrageous comparisons) than the player he was never meant to be.

                              • I already said the comparison (to Magic) was a bit over the top but he made it himself. One thing they have in common is their height/weight but Scottie obviously has great potential to be something special.
