I thought NBA was against players participating in certain sports? MJ for example couldn't ride a motorcycle when he was with Bulls

Not sure if its an NBA thing or a team thing where they're worried about the players' safety.

He's just using it as part of his cardio regimen. His training partner isn't going to break his arm but damn it's one of those sports where injuries happen easily.

yup. dennis schroder is like a pro level skateboarder and is contractually barred from skating i think... at least i remember this being a thing when he was drafted

That is intense and very tiring, but very good not just for cardio but for general strength.
Let's hope he doesn't break his wrist or anything.

That's pretty light sparring. Grappling is great for cardio and strength. Pretty sure the team okay'd it on the basis it would be controlled by a high level guy keeping him safe. He isn't rolling around with Joe Blow off the street.
