I just watched the video, I liked it and am excited about his chemistry blossoming with OG.
    I am pumped as well.
Just want to see beautiful, team oriented basketball where everyone is having fun on the floor.
Not the tight and rigid performances that we saw last year.

I recall Pascal being like that in the past too, always smiling.
Players say OG was a fun team mate too, and Scottie is unlocking that part of him.

Hopefully The silver lining to the negativity that happened last season is Scottie seeing the bad and the good of the game. He mentioned about their little success during his rookie year and the failing he had to endure on his sophomore year.

Now with the major distraction and obstacle out of his way, sky is the limit for him.

        • [Scottie Barnes] “We all know that we can win at the level we can get to, and we all know what it takes to get there,” he said. “We’ve just got to get back to winning. That’s our main attitude, and we have the pieces to do it."
[Baraheni] (Scottie Barnes) On Darko: “He just has a different philosophy of basketball, of how it should be played. Throughout ball movement, high pick-and-rolls, playing the right way and making the right passes and making the right plays.”

          • Almost since the then-struggling Raptors went into Orlando in early December and got swept — knocked around, really — in a pair of games by what was, at the time, a Magic team with the worst record in the NBA, everything has been off-kilter. Not quite right.
Sources have described a team where the veterans — VanVleet and Siakam especially — were deeply frustrated with the younger players on the roster and VanVleet let them know about it, something the younger set didn’t appreciate at all. Nurse wasn’t able to bridge the divide as key players kept getting hurt and open three after open three drew only iron.

            The losing made everything worse.

Subsequently, the 2022-23 tale of woe began to play out in ways that most remember but would prefer to forget: consecutive beatdowns at the hands of the New Orleans Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets on the road signalled a malaise that was urgent enough that Ujiri had to address the team personally and second-year star Scottie Barnes specifically. It was the first of a number of times that Ujiri felt the need to make his feelings known about the way the team was playing and individuals were performing.

He did it again in the weeks before the February trade deadline, laying into the team for selfish play and poor body language. The message: straighten up or be shipped out.

Things were tense enough that Nurse was planning his exit even then, believing he would be fired. He may well have welcomed it.

              • I have a feeling all these trade talk about OG and Siakam are nothing but smoke and I'm starting to think Scottie is coming off the bench this season w/ Gradey/Precious/Dowtin, I can sense it. Darko loves his player development. (OKC). He will get more confidence playing against 2nd units.

I cannot envision a scenario where Scottie is on the team but doesn't start next season.

I will be you $1 million dollars Scottie does not come off the bench.

Zero percent chance of that happening.

                    • Schroder/GTJ/OG/Siakam/Poeltl vs Scottie/GTJ/OG/Siakam/Poeltl

in reality, Darko has played 144 games with Dennis Schroder. And zero with Scottie.

Scottie is still so young, really next year he has to be better than OG or Siakam to start.

New coach in town guys, I definitely don't have a million dollars Primer but don't be surprised if he is still getting 30 mins a night but he isn't in the starting 5.

Schroder absolutely may start. He will be starting in GTJ's spot if so. Yes, the spacing will be cramped, which is why I expect Schroder as 6th man.

                        • Darko seems to be in love with Scottie based on the interviews. I’m sure part of his pitch to the FO was getting Scottie to the next level by running the offence through him. That’s not gonna happen with Scottie off the bench. The 4 guys that have to have to have to start on this team are OG, Pascal, Scottie, and Poeltl, for a combination of positional/political/contractual factors. Even if those 4 don’t fit the best together, it’s going to happen.

                          • yeah darko's basically been on a tour talking about running things through scottie. he's not talking about his 6th man

                              So you're saying, Schroder/OG/Scottie/Siakam/Poeltl ?

Poeltl can't shoot. That squad can't defend the pass. It's too clunky. Sure Scottie is a better defender and passer than GTJ but I can't see Darko sacrificing team shooting, he's European. There's not really a real reason to start Scottie, because positionally you have all boxes checked defensively with Scottie coming off the bench. I still think he is gonna get lots of minutes beside Grady. But I really think he has more room to operate in the second unit.

He will absolutely destroy teams' second units.

GTJ to the bench obviously. Literally where he played last season.
