I am still on the side of Scottie not being a point guard. I want him to handle the ball in transition on grab and go rebounds or off a quick outlet when the opportunity arrises, also in the half court using his passig chops to drive, draw, and dish offf of actions. I don't want him bringing the ball up the floor all game and initiating pick and rolls, I also don't want to see him as the primary defender on the opposing team's point guard. On switches, for a different look on a few possesions, or in some alternate lineup situations I am all for it.

I've said this before, pairing Scottie with a point guard like Alvin Williams was would be my top choice.
Alvin was steady but wasn’t he pretty basic pulling up in the pick and roll? Scottie can get to that level if he isn’t already. Gary might be superior in terms of the pull up.

He does need to make a jump, but we are going to need to look to add talent regardless. We need a guard that can create some rim pressure, we need a big that can space the floor, and we may need better depth (will see what that looks like this season).
Dennis can exert a lot of rim pressure with his speed. Many of our forwards can slide to the 5 to space the court, whether that’s Precious or Pascal or whoever.

Don't really see Dennis being a factor especially with the lack of shooting on the court they'll probably see a lot of defenses parked in the paint. Moving our forwards to C doesn't alleviate any of the spacing issues unless OG is playing C. Doubt that's going to be something they want to do too often.

Dennis takes enough 3's and hits them at a decent enough rate that if they pack the paint he will just take the open 3. He shot 38.5% from 3pt in OKC on 5 attempts per game, so it's not like he's totally incapable. Fingers crossed we get OKC Dennis (unlikely but a guy can dream).

With the trust Darko has in him, he's basically a shoe-in to be an impact-rotation player. He's going to shoot open 3s, attack with the dribble, and defend like a madman.

I'd be kind of surprised if he isn't in the 6th man conversation.

OKC Dennis was 5 years ago, but like Primer say, a guy can dream.

I do think the Raps should have an improved defense next season. They signed Jak, McDaniels and Shroeder so they definitely committed to that end of the floor. The question is, how bad will their offense be?

OKC Dennis was 2019-20 season, not 5 years ago.

He also had a decent season in Boston 2 years after that.

Still a roll of the dice on which Dennis we will get shooting wise, but he's pretty competent everywhere else.

If teams are packing the paint and letting him shoot uncontested 3s his shooting will look pretty good.

He's 29 years old with very little injury history, pretty sure he didn't forget how to play basketball, especially because he played pretty darn well in LA last season.

                  • Let's just leave it at me not being as optimistic that Dennis will be able to play better off Pascal/Scottie than he was next to LeBron and AD.

Not expecting much but hope to be pleasantly surprised.

I just wanna here about him doing what Jalen Green is doing. Working on his dribbling with steph, and luka.... Steph has an open invite to any young player.

I am tired of the talk. Fred is gone work time is now to prep for the season. He needs to get back on track play aggressive every minute, and be ready to contribute.

I don't know but I think it's time Scottie gets a new trainer.
