I actually like that choice. He had a disappointing season. Being hyper focused on skill work all summer is what he needs.

In the Darko interview he did mention talking to Scottie about what he needs to work on this summer and they both agreed, ball handling, going left, and shooting. Darko said Scottie was already working on it so that made him happy.

yeah i agree and would guess the organization does too, and perhaps had some say in his decision

Recent footage from Miami he looks great, looking forward to new coach and scottie being able to play like he was meant to, like magic.

Should we read anything into the fact that Scottie Barnes wasn't added to the U.S select team ? That
team is usually made up of the very young core in the NBA . Names like Keegan and Cade are there /

Any predictions on Scotties stats this season?

I'm thinking around 18 pts, 5 rebs and 6 ast.

expect the counting stats will look totally different depending on whether or not pascal is on the team, so kind of hard to say.

i wouldn't expect such a big drop in his rebounding just because he'll have the ball more though

Let's assume the team looks the same and Pascal is still here. If Scottie is the primary initiator and working mostly from the perimeter I'm expecting his rebounding numbers to drop further. Jak for a full season may also push Scottie further out of rebounding range.

He can get at least 4 asts from feeding Gary and Gradey alone.
I can see him averaging close to 10.
Rebounds depends on how much he wants it.
Westbrook averaged in double digits at OKC even with Adams in the paint.

if pascal is here i think you're pretty close, but i'd up everything just slightly since we're supposedly emphasizing putting the ball in his hands more (which might affect his OReb %age but shouldn't impact anything defensively. say 18.3/6.7/6.9

if pascal's gone and he has the ball basically all the time, i'll say 19.5/6.7/8.1
