The most impressive player was GTJ... by far. Scottie doesn't look that much different and pretty much all the Raptors lack skill. You shouldn't be bricking that many shots in an open gym run when defense is at like 50% intensity. Would've like to see more clips of Gradey.... he looks promising.
Yep, I was wondering if I was watching the same video as everyone else.
This is bad basketball and Scottie's release looks so slow.
raptors A team (scottie gary gradey jak malachi) won 4 of 5 games
scottie went 12 of 16 in that highlight package (not counting a missed validation FT and a blocked shot, counting a miss which was whistled for a foul)
he made all of his jumpers, none of which were catch and shoots. they were turn-arounds, step backs off the dribble, and walking into a three off the dribble
he made an array of drives and finishes through contact
was the lead ball handler for a good portion of the run
literally don't know what else a raptor fan could want to see from him in a summer run at this point.

how many bricks did you count from scottie? i counted zero, because i don't count a miss in the paint with contact a 'brick'.
gradey was invisible in that highlight package, went 1 of 2 missing an awkward floater and making a layup in transition. what was so promising about that run in your opinion ?

I thought he looked like he was playing sound defence, for a rookie that is promising. Jak looked good, as did Trent. I also thought that Jeff Dowtin looked good as well on the second team. He's ahead of Flynn on the depth chart in my opinion.
Harper Jr. looked like hes thinned down a bit. Boucher was unimpressive mainly because he was trying to play a larger role than he should.

Gary is automatic from three.
Looks like a starter to me.

Gradey is supoosed to be shooting.
Literally the main reason the team drafted him and literally what the team badly needs.
He was not drafted for his defense.

Yeah, poor wording on my part. I was actually referring to the non-Scottie Raptors lacking skill. Scottie wasn’t bad at all, but he doesn’t look like he’s upgraded his skills in a big way either.
