Philosophy, strategy and tactics have no impact on the game or players. It's why teams spend millions of dollars on coaching and analytics and scouts and performance centers - cause none of it matters at all. Guys just get better or not. Kudos to them.Only one thing matters: We The Champs.

Everybody got analytics, scouts and everybody got multimillion peformance centers. And coaches who make it here are already been coaching for years or recently fired NBA coach. It's just not competitive advantage you guys think it is

Coaching is a crucial aspect of the NBA, and it has a significant impact on team outcomes. According to a study by Harris Public Policy scholars, coaches account for 20 to 30 percent of the variation in team outcomes 1. The study analyzed hundreds of seasons of data, including wins and losses and sports scores and statistics, and estimated that coaches impact variables that contribute to a higher winning percentage in every sport studied, including the NBA 1.
While it is difficult to quantify the exact impact of coaching, the study found that coaches significantly affect points scored, points allowed, point differential, and victories in both NBA and Division I college basketball outcomes 1.
Another study found that longer-tenured head coaches have won approximately six more regular-season games each year than the 41-win league average 2.
Therefore, it is safe to say that coaching plays a vital role in the NBA, and it can be the difference between winning and losing.

While you are at it,
can you run ChatGPT's projection on Scottie?
It is difficult to predict the exact statistical production of a player at their peak, but we can make some educated guesses based on their current performance and trajectory.
Scottie Barnes has been a standout player for the Raptors in the early stages of the 2023-24 NBA season, averaging 22.6 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.1 blocks in the seven games he has played so far 12. If he continues to develop his skills and improve his game, he could become an All-Star and even a future DPOY candidate 1.
Based on his current performance, it is reasonable to assume that Barnes could average 25-30 points, 10-12 rebounds, and 6-8 assists at his peak 1. However, it is difficult to predict when he will reach his peak. Barnes is only 22 years old, and he has already shown significant improvement from his rookie season 1. If he continues to develop at this rate, he could reach his peak in his late 20s or early 30s. However, this is just speculation, and many factors can influence a player’s development and performance over time.

Scottie has definitely been more in a help role than an on-ball role and has been excelling in that role.
Of course, young talented players do tend to get better, so some of it is that too. Credit to Scottie for his improvements on each end as well.

Scottie still gets too tight when guarding perimeter players and basically invites them into the paint. Luckily, he's out there less and his help defence has been stellar. But he isn't even close to being the best defender on the team, or even 2nd.

And we cannot mistake production with development. Just because you are producing more doesn't mean you developing. And when you develop you don't necessarily produce moreOnly one thing matters: We The Champs.

Except Scottie stagnated last year. That was one of the major storylines of the season.... his lack of player development and even regression.
