  • The league will soon be starting to talk about Scottie ... he "performed" on his first big stage last night ... and when he was done the Boston "fans" booed their team!

    • Magic Pippen over here had a one man fast break last night, where Denis tried to take a charge, and a rookie of his size; twinkle toed his away around the defensive player for a nice easy layup.

Then had a no-look, one-handed riffle of a pass (with his left hand no less) for an easy assist.

All why guarding at an absolute elite level, as a MFing rookie?!?!?!

Our scouting team is top notch.

      • As they said on the broadcast a handful of times while watching his performance in real time - "he's special"

            • What scares me is again what happens when Barnes actually hits that 3 point shot at a decent clip... how good can he be... okokok gotta get back to enjoying this journey

              • can't wait to see how he does in not just a back to back but a game right after he had a career defining game

                • Didn't take long for Alvin to drop the Magic comparison.

                  • One thing I think we're quickly realizing is that a lot of the in-between shots he was working on (somewhat awkwardly) at Flordida State, in conjunction with his point guard responsibilities, are actually going to come in very handy. Sometimes he'll have the lane and get all the way to the hoop for the dunk, but others he'll need to counter into an assortment of floaters, hooks, fadeaways, etc.

And it now looks like he has a lot of what were major works-in-progress moves and finishes in his pocket. He can jump-hook like Horford, lefty-skyhook like Magic, and so on.

                    Special.

                        • Judging by Nurses comments in post game. "The rate Scottie was attacking the rim at the end of the game, I want him to double it." (Or something like that) We are about to fire up the Scottie show. He has been electric so far, can't wait until he gets more comfortable. Looks like it's happening fast.

He is getting better at his patience and decision making. His game to game growth is impressive. He just needs to cut down on the fouls. It is crazy though. He is so impactful that him getting in foul trouble puts the team in trouble.
