He could be the next JV….always the favorite to be scapegoat because Derozan and Lowry will always be given the benefit of the doubt, most especially the volume shooter/ inefficient Derozan
Scottie is now the assuming the role under the shadows of Siakam and Van Vleet
Derozan is now VanVleet
JV was always the collateral damage, but good for him that he is now flourishing elsewhere

….anyway, one of the benefit of league pass is listening to different commentators around the league saying high praises to the Raptors rookie, one particular play by play analyst of the Warriors stated that he compared Scottie to the other Scottie. So here are some early numbers by the Rookie who “hit a rookie wallâ€

I do think that listening to other commentators gives really good insights about the team. That said, I do think this is an adjustment in terms of actually playing 82 games. At least in terms of why he may have looked a bit low energy in the first half.
but to grab 13 rebounds (8 Defensive rebs and 5 offensive rebs) way more than Birch or Precious playing only 28 minutes is not hitting the rookie wall. Honestly he has more energy hauling those misses, fighting against Draymond and Looney
the talk about this rookie wall is overly exaggerated coming from the same people who not too long ago were in Siakam’s case
yet same people are screaming their lungs out after two Hail Marys by Van Vleet.
lol.
Losing against Detroit and Cleveland would zap all your enthusiasm as a rookie I supposed#GO-SOMEWHERE-ELSE-VANVLEET

This just confirms the reason I suspected why we blow a lot of fast break opportunities, i.e., because we never pass the ball back to the wide open trailer, or an open teammate filling the lane. Now we know why FVV always barrels to the rim like he has blinders on and gets blocked all the time. He's just following orders of the coaching staff, which is to be aggressive at all times.
Lowry passes it on fast breaks a lot... and it almost always works, so I guess Nurse couldn't say sh*t to him.
You know, like this:
Vets know when to do one or the other, but we're very green, so they're barreling to the rim all the time (unless there's a guy wide open below the rim). High turnover rates are one of the classic signs of young teams.

Totally dispute the statement about the team being young equates a high turnover rate
Van Vleet is not young….but just a game or two ago….he had Seven Turnovers. 7 and that is just crazy.

How many times have I seen Scottie talking (explaining) to FVV, sometimes gesturing , when Scottie makes lapses on the court.
What is going on there?
Are they putting unnecessary pressure on the kid, thus making him play tight and robotic recently?
