Cade overtook Scottie in the past week in ppg, the last rookie ladder update said Scottie was in the lead so my bad.
Cade is shooting 38% FG, he's just taking a ton of shots. If Scottie was shooting that poorly I'd be pissed if we were giving him 20 shots a game. I'll take our development system over Detroit's any day.
cade will be fine though. those horrific 38% shooting and 90 ORtg numbers are up from incomprehensibly bad ones in the range of 20% and 70 ORtg at the start of his season. i wouldn't count those games against him since he was coming back from injury and missed camp. i know golden is impressed by a 97 ORtg in december

At first I thought, yup, he wont. Then I looked a little closer at it. To me right now it comes down to Scottie and Mobley as their teams are winning the most and they are the 2 most efficient of the top guys.
I expect Cleveland to come back to earth a bit and be closer to 500 than to 5 games above. I also think the Raps can get themselves back to 500 or slightly above as well. If both teams are in a similar position stat wise it will come down to production, and right now those two guys are neck and neck.

i was just making a facetious post that it's time to panic about his scoring because he's now number 2 and clearly not getting enough attempts.

But as noted, he's in a very nice position compared to Cade, who is all by his lonesome there.

Hard to say with Cade. Might just be him being the literal only guy on the Pistons. His first 10 games he had a 91 ORTG, last 11 it's been 88. Last 6 have been 98 but that's still way below Scottie and his 110-115 pretty consistent ORTG all year.

yeah i'm skeptical there are any rookies you could slip into cade's role who would fare any better. that team is atrocious.

Casey is the tank commander. I was shocked they resigned him considering how bad the Pistons have been under Casey but if the goal is to get that 1st pick again then Casey is your man.
in seriousness i don't think casey is an awesome coach or anything but this isn't all on him either... that front office has put him in a fantastic spot to lose a lot of games, whether purposefully or not

unless he's coaching the raptors, then he'll coach the hell out of game 82 in a game the franchise should have done everything in their power to lose. but the ben uzoh triple double game did so much for the raptors culture so i guess it was worth it.

he is a good culture setter I don't think he is a great coach but he isn't a bad coach either. he doesn't change in playoff settings.

Casey got a lot out of his Raptor rosters. The playoff failures sealed his fate (and likely a lot later than they should have) but a lot of guys flourished during his time and he was key part of turning the team around.
