We learn something new everyday from danH lol. I thought they always found a player to give the rebound to
I thought they just gave it to everyone who was on the court.

I thought the third was when he got called for travelling cause it didn't hit the rim before he grabbed it again... but maybe that would've been the fourth? lol

Let's pray that he can be as aggressive as Giannis tho.
        Oh and he's 6'10" now?
I think that might be a possibility, I saw Barnes standing next to Siakam and he looks bigger and taller than him.

Also some people finish their growth spurt at the age of 21 so maybe Scottie has room to add another inch or two.

That's exactly right. He technically grabbed the board, but got no credit for it since it was an illegal board. But he also gets charged for the turnover on the play, meaning the Raptors had to have possession, so they recorded it as a team rebound and a Scottie turnover.

            Masai finally found his Giannis.
            No doubt.

He has to find a less ball dominant pseudo point guard/ shooting guard for Scottie to get a lot of opportunities on the court: EOG shots, facilitating, initiating the offense and as much touches to find his sweet spots on the floor.

maybe it was great for Durant to escape Westbrook

I'm just enamored by his mid range game. When he gets set, off the dribble, it looks automatic. He squares up beautifully and has that durant length where he can shoot over anyone at any time.

He has everything in his arsenal as a rookie, kinda crazy. Dunks, layups, hook shots, post fades, pull up jumpers, pull up 3s, he even hit a stepback 3.

He is a rookie so the mistakes will be there, but he has a sort of comfort level and natural feel for the game that is making me think more and more that his floor might be a superstar. Obviously I don't like saying a rookie will be a future superstar, so we'll see in year 2 or 3.

The Giannis comp is actually a bad one. Even today Giannis still doesn't have anything close to that skill-set. At this point the better comps might be tall ballhandlers like Paul George and T-Mac, tbh. Scottie is breaking all of T-Mac's Raptor rookie records this year, so he's definitely impacting the game in a similar way.

Yeah he is different from Giannis. Giannis is a rim runner and a big man. 7'0, strong, athletic and long, he is dominant in the paint.

Scottie is showing more of an all around offensive game.

Including over Durant. Love seeing our rookie scoring on the best player in the game like he's been doing this for a decade.

I think it's good to keep a running tally of the player comps...

Each one valid in their own right.

That comfort level and natural feel for the game is what I've always thought people are referring to when they talk about (C's mostly) when they say "big's take longer to develop". It's waiting for the game to slow down enough where they can read plays as they happen so they can react without delay or even understand what is going to happen before it does. That's the hardest part to develop as a player because it has nothing to do with talents or skills which you can work on.Scottie is already reading plays like a seasoned point guard and it's going to be scary as that feel for the game continues to develop and when his skill set catches up.

Kobe and Lebron for sure. Foolish of me to forget those. (He said he modelled his game after Kobe, or something to that effect. I love it when he shakes guys off for the Kobe fadeaway. Can't wait to watch that grow.)

And yeah.... shooting -- definitely Steph.
