He seems to not be rushing as much when he gets the ball as he has in the past. Could be a nice turning point in his development.

He is slowly getting there on his 2nd day back from a lengthy time off.

Agree he needs more time to judge, doesn’t seem to have a lot of explosiveness and that’s kind of his thing. That said he doesn’t exactly have the best body language or express a lot of joy for the game for a guy trying to carve out his niche in the league. Could just be frustration not being 100% and having difficulty processing his role in the new system, but I expect to see him vibing with Scottie, playing with elite energy, and powering through with strong finishes.

    Not quite there yet.

I think I now understand why. LOL
I will cut him some slack…missed 17 games last season and this season already missed 5 out of 9. Didn’t have much preseason reps too this year.

The last game against the Celtics was terrible but 10 days*** being out with a groin injury, takes a couple games to get back into rhythm.
I would agree however that his basketball awareness is still behind of his physical gifts so that maybe something very hard to overcome. Clearly the injuries are pulling him back from where his starting point is. The headwind is strong for Precious.

im sorry ill say it now.. he isn't good... the situational awareness will take maybe 5 years to get to a boucher level and that is simply a waste.

I think I asked this about halfway through last year too, but what is there to like about this guy? Dumb decisions, can’t shoot, way too short to play C. He’s a throw-in for a trade to me…

Not sure how many years you need to put into developing a guy before you move on, but I don't see a player I can trust in the rotation just yet.
feels like Raptors owe them something instead of the other way around

Does Masai have a fetish on raw, really dumb players? why are there so many low IQ players on this team? Precious last night was embarassing. Don't get me started about Boucher, Trent, and Koloko. OG and Pascal are not the smartest players either.

What are we doing here? I should've known this when he drafted Bruno Caboclo. The ultimate raw, dumb player.
Masai bought into his own PR .....

Need eye of the tiger, sandpaper, intensity players, DOGS.
Not Subway, Staples and peanut butter players ....

Starting to feel the same way. At the end of the day, height and athleticism are only a small portion of what makes a good basketball player. And if you ever want to really have a chance to win, the difference becomes guys that can think the game the right way. golden state vs Boston in the finals was a perfect example. Boston relying on time lord and Marcus smart, two players who make error after error when things start to really matter, vs. Steph Klay and draymond who just make the right plays at the right time. Who helps you win a championship more? Kyle Lowry or Westbrook?

Precious was not ready to play last night. If he's taking minutes from Scottie at the backup 5, we might as well move off of him before we have to pay him.

I think this team is still figuring things out. But yeah, our bench is really thin. I think it's kind of like 2017, when they turned Terrence Ross, a 1st round pick, Jarred Sullinger and a couple second round picks in PJ Tucker and Serge Ibaka before the trade deadline. This was awesome, and I expect a trade like this coming in the next couple months.
Mehhh..I expect nothing,, I honestly believe he will keep everyone pass the deadline, his stubborn idiot,
