The Kings just made the Play-in successful. They made a trade in the hopes to get into the Play-in lol. Would they have done the same if there was no Play-in?
They are 6 games back of 8 (I believe 7 before the deadline). They definitely would not have traded for a win now player if there wasn't a play-in.

    • Indiana Pacers, with a boatload of new faces, just put up 47(!) points in the first quarter vs. #2 ranked Cavs defense. lol. So much for new guys needing time to gel.

if you're banking on playoff-banton to carry this team in the postseason, you may want to temper those expectations

Oshae Brissett, the one that got away....

2pt game with 4min left though, could go either way

            • The other thing with the standings....Brooklyn is currently in 8th place and Durant might be out another few weeks. Wouldn't shock me if they keep Ben Simmons out until KD is back. There is a scenario Brooklyn ends up with a lower seed and plays a strong team in the first round. They are a very scary team when healthy but they might not make up as much ground in the regular season.

The way the standings are now Philly plays Milwaukee in round 1. Imagine if Miami plays Brooklyn after the play in. There are going to be some very good teams going home after round 1.

This will easily be the best Eastern Conference playoffs this century.

                • Could we sign Dennis Schroeder or Gary Harris with our MLE and Boucher (3/$30 Million) & Young offer a 1 year $9 Million plus a non-guaranteed 2nd year or 2 year /$12 Million.

This would leave about $4 Million under the luxury tax for Champagnie at a minimum salary of $1.7 Million.

                  • Schroeder or Harris could be signed 4/$43 Million do you think Harris would grab this MLE as he is 28 years old.

                    • Or after signing both of Boucher or Thad Young and offer a lower amount for a non bird Malik Monk as the MLE -going from 1.8 Million to $10 Million MLE!!

For any of that to happen Harris needs to hit waivers/free agency first. He has trade value, so it's possible Orlando does a sign and trade. If he somehow gets bought out, there will be teams competing (one of which the Lakers probably), and I think that would drive the price higher than what we could fit on our salary structure. Would fit like a glove here though.

You can't make gestures that make fun of certain people-kind's height.
I expect protests next time DeMar is in town.
