Thier young guys played great against the raps, future looking much brighter for the cavs.

      • Gotta put Mobley as the front runner for ROY at this moment. He's featured a lot more with the CAVS than Barnes is with the Raps, but he's also really damn good and has a better offense at this time.

Too bad ... it's tough surviving in the major leagues. Suppose Bonga hangs around.
          Yes, Bonga fully guaranteed now.

              Of note:

An MRI administered today on Collin Sexton‘s injured left knee revealed that the Cavaliers guard sustained a meniscus tear, the team announced in a press release. Sexton left Cleveland’s Sunday win over New York in the second quarter after feeling discomfort in the knee.

The Cavs have yet to announce a potential recovery timeline for Sexton. That will likely be determined once the club decides whether the injury will be treated surgically or non-surgically. According to the press release, the 22-year-old will undergo additional evaluation before his status is updated.

Barnes has scored more points per game, recorded more rebounds per game, on a higher FG% than Mobley.

Mobley may overtake him as Barnes' role might reduce (it shouldn't much but it might) with Pascal's return, but for the moment there's not really an argument for that.

Let's hope his role isn't diminished too much with Siakam's return. It's been a long while since a Raptor has won the ROY. Does winning it earn the player a bonus of any sort?

No. Used to be teams didn't always offer the 120% rookie scale, and some of the 120% would be tied to a bonus structure of some kind, but that hasn't been the case in ages.

Should a second overall pick be considered for MIP? He's supposed to be really good, right?

Yeah... but then again Ingram won MIP and he was a #2 overall as well. It's a weird award. It's like you have to be bad/mediocre, and then suddenly be great.
