Grizzlies really schooled Masai this year. Revitalized their old, tired roster with young Raptors.

That's Stack and now he's assistant coach with Grizzlies
Let it be a lesson for other players Raptors overreach to get in the draft. Be ready to work your butt off if it means you are getting millions of dollars as a result of drafting you early. No matter if he is 18 Years old from some far a way place they dont even have a running toilet.

I am hoping Gasol is just fucking arpund before the playoffs and just taking it easy cause that will piss me off if he isnt a double double machine come playoffs time on top of his passing game. We probably going to face detroit in the first round so we need the big man on top of his game!
The best thing for us imo is to use his and FVV's playmaking to run the second unit with OG & Norm shooting and cutting (+ another starter anchoring it) . Solve the black-hole bench lineups. Bring Ibaka's scoring, rebouding and rim protection back to the starters.

Exactly. It's not a coincidence Bruno look like a competent NBA player out there. Bruno needed tough love. Masai got hosed overeaching for this kid cause he missed out on Giannis a year ago . Raptors spend millions on Bruno in salary and coaching and other than getting the 905 much sooner as a result, the payoffs never came.

Saw a bit of that OKC/Grizzlies game last night. Memphis plays so loose. They really look like a G-League team. Make a lot of mistakes but even through those mistakes are successful. I don't see them getting out of the lottery next year with this team.. but they will be a fun team to watch. And a team most other teams won't want to play.
As for OKC man.. they are really a two man team. I can't believe we lost to them. Their bench sucks.

Grizz need to dump inefficient guys like Dillon Brooks, CJ and Avery Bradley and upgrade the SG position, to have: JV, JJJ, Anderson, SG, Conley. That would be an efficient starting 5, with Bruno, Delon, Rabb, Dorsey and Noah off the bench. That's a fringe playoff team in the West these days.

The Raps were successful using the guys they had the way they did, parting ways with guys like Bruno and Delon had everything to do with depth and cap management and not much to do with how good the outgoing guys were/weren't. Raps couldn't keep everybody and made it a priority to keep certain guys like OG and Pascal. Guys like Norm were already paid and not so easy to move, that's just a timing issue.
That the Toronto Grizzlies are doing so well is a testament to the depth, development, and drafting ability this organization has. This is what good teams do - have more quality players than they can use/pay. It's a good "problem" to have.
The deal that's still up in the air is Gasol/JV. Sure hope the playoffs prove it to be a positive."We're playing in a building." -- Kawhi Leonard

It should also be noted that the vast majority of organizations in the NBA cannot win and develop young players at the same time. It is virtually impossible and the fact that the Raptors have done a pretty good job of both is impressive. Ultimately though, experience and gravitas wins in the playoffs and adding guys like Gasol and Lin took precedence over hoping Delon Wright could put together two good games in a row.

Dont be surprised if JV slips on a banana peel and needs rest.
shutting down Bruno in order to tank would be the funniest thing ever.To be the champs you got to beat the champs
