Sooooo sorry fellas but I accidentally deleted the game thread while trying to delete a post. Not sure it can be recovered.

    Feel free to post here.

Once again sorry guys. I will go sit in the corner in shame now.
Noooooooo!!!!! I was just settling in to read the whole thing and poof! It was gone. Do you have time machine? Not "a" time machine.

I was really concerned about DeMar shooting us out of this one. So far this season his shot selection has been absolutely abysmal. Last year we brought him off of screens on neat little curls, which is where he was far more effective either taking jumpers or driving the lane, while this year we're letting him create off the bounce, which is pretty much a disaster. On the bright side, he did find the open man a few times, but oftentimes I feel like he's just hitting a brick wall against his defender and needs to be bailed out. The only isos he seems super comfortable with are those left block post ups.

We really need to be more creative at how we're using him. He's more Rip Hamilton than Jamal (Jcrossover) Crawford.

I agree with this. Demar is at his very best when he is coming off of screens and attacking the rim. Although Casey is trying to play a faster style of basketball, he should still be running set plays should the Raptors fail to score in transition. Sometimes pushing the ball quickly up the floor creates mismatches though, and if Demar is isolated on a big man, he should take him one on one. In that situation though, he should use his quickness to get to the rim more often than settling for a pullup jumper.

I think we can dispense with this leadership by committee non-sense. Lowry is the leader. Follow him.

Yeah, I guess I'll post this here since the game thread disappeared...

What a great game. Got the win against a competitive team without our starting front court.

Kyle Lowry Over Everything. Our star player right there.

JJ looked great. He needs to be getting 20+ minutes on the regular. Patterson with another good game, very active, hit his shots. Hayes was surprisingly effective against the quick BOS bigs, but Casey left him in a bit too long. Best used in short spurts. Hansbrough was junk as usual. Stiemsma brought good minutes - his long arms just screw up a lot of stuff for the opposition.

Ross did fine, nothing special from him. Same for Vasquez and Williams - starting to bring what we expect from them off the bench.

DeMar had a terrible game. Rarely played D, jacked up terrible long jumpers. He had stretches where he was aggressive and got to the line, a few good intense defensive plays, but he looks good 25% of the time and the rest he's the weak link in the defense (when Hansbrough is off the floor, anyway). Good on him for hitting a few tough jumpers down the stretch, but most of them were unnecessarily tough. I really felt like he was going to shoot us out of this one late. Thankfully the ball was in Kyle's hands more than DeMar's.
