Any team can be good at one thing but can be terrible at another thing….
But what is really worse….being mediocre at everything lol. Middle of the pack.
Overall, it is still a hit or miss league. Efficiency of shots is so premium. Having an elite talent with solid complementary players is ideal.
Scottie hopefully can rise to that level when it’s all said and done and Masai can adjust who he surround him with. My vote would be OG and GTJ moving forward
Out of Topic question: was the inefficient OJ Mayo got booted out, that’s when Giannis started to flourished?

The bigger issue is our field goal percentage. If we scored more efficiently, there won't be as many offensive rebounds in play.

Rebounding was always overrated by Raps fans. You can see with constant "we need 7 footer" topics

Toronto and Memphis are both playoff teams so seems to be working well. GS is good because they have one of the best players ever. Not due to an innovative coaching scheme. Remove Curry and they stink. We've been missing key players all year and still are pretty good due to the scheme.

Tristan Thompson has always been an elite offensive rebounder with decent mobility on the perimeter. He'd fit with what we're trying to do here. Do we finally NeedTristanThompson ?

I doubt that we finish any lower than the play-in (11th) this year, and likely no higher than 5th, barring injuries to the top 4 (Heat, Bucks, Sixers, Nets). This isn't necessarily because we're so good, but also because almost every team in the NBA is mediocre like us. Even the top teams and superteams are highly beatable on any given night. This feels like a transition year for the NBA where anything can happen.

and shouldn’t length and mobility prevent all these open corner 3’s? As mentioned this team has been over helping for a few years now. Even 5 feet away the guy still has to make a basket - rather that than an open 3
Im down with this experiment. Gotta say the d is exciting. Its like every opposition possession its a coin toss on whether we’ll turn them over but eventually we need to replace guys with guys that have similar D but can get it in the basket.
whats more is inthink our poor shooting increases the other teams shooting %. Whenever we give up an O board or miss a 3 it seems like money the other team will drop one
Seriously, they're 6-5. What did people expect - with a rookie that half of you didn't even want in the first place, and their All Star on the shelf. They've beat Boston, played the Nets tough. Barnes looks amazing. Pascal looked great. Van Vleet is a leader most teams would love to have, despite what you think he can or can't give you on the PnR. Future (incl. this season) looks bright.
Give it 30 games before making proclamations about who sucks, who's not a good fit, and who should be traded for Marvin F-ing Bagley. The guys who are here and have built the culture and good vibes over the past few years that everyone loves deserve it.
